I'm Home!!!!

Hello all my OH friends,

Got home yesterday around noon. Whew what a ride home. I forgot to take my pillow to hold on my tummy.  Felt every bump but the ride didn'tt last long.  Surgery went really well, in Dr. Classen's word it was perfect. No leaks but I had a terrible bout with the contrast I had to drink. Guess that was not what my pouch wanted and is was sooooo sick all afternoon Wednesday. With the help of WONDERFUL nurses and Droctors orders I got meds that calmed the sickness and I was able to get some much needed rest.  Yesterday I had no problems with keeping anything down and have done well today. I have been very suprised I am not hungry at all.  I can watch TV and  food does not appeal to me. Guess a lot has changed since Tuesday!  Can't wait to see how much I have lost so far. The last Dr visit I was 272 but that was before the cabbage soup and surgery.  I have a followup appt on Tues or Wed so I guess I will know then.
I want to thank everyone for the well wishes and prayer.  Without them I'm not sure I would have done as well!  You guys have been such a great support for me and I cannot wait to share "loser stories" with you guys.

Thanks again!!!!!

Congratulations!!!!  Speaking of a ride...you're in for one so hold on tight!!  I had my surgery in April, 09 and have  lost 135 lbs.  Loving my new life.  So this time next year you'll be SO happy you made the decision to have WLS.    Glad you're home and doing well.

Welcome to the Loser's bench, my friend.

Remember to move around as much as you can to release all that trapped gas.

Sip, Sip, Sip and Sip some more.

Warmest wishes for a speedy recovery.
