I've lost 5 lbs...

I've lost 5 lbs since I got here last Tuesday. I have lost this much weight in one week since I was 'trying' to lose weight after surgery. I'm working on it, but I'm stretched thin right now. I am making sure to have breakfast, lunch and something for dinner... I can't quite figure out why my weight is dropping. 

It's pretty darn stressful here and it will get worse before it gets better. Ben's dad probably only has a few weeks left, maybe a couple of months at best. Ben and Sarah will be here tomorrow morning and I'm glad of that. I've been through this before and I know that his window for any 'quality' communication and interaction is very slim, so I want them here for that. They are scheduled to be here for a week.  We'll have to see.

I was able to get away for 4 hours yesterday to see my mother and since they have started to taper her off of the prednisone, she seems to be doing better, but even that visit was stressful because of 'drama'. 

I'm going to go clean out the fridge and do some laundry before I get mom ready to take her to see dad.

I hope and pray everything will get less stressful for you and your family. I know how having a sick family member can be trying especially when juggling everyday life. i am so glad you glad your family is able to get quality time with him now.

Thanks so much for remembering my birthday. I was dreading it before because it was the day we were going to meet with the oncologist, but thank goodness that has already happened and as you say, having Ben and Sarah arrive will definitely lighten my load and brighten my day.
