I got the call on Thursday!

I attended the seminar in January (the 14th I believe) at Duke. I callexd and found out my application was entered into the system on January 18th, and Thursday I got the call to set up my initial appointments!

I'm a teacher, and we'd been out of school three days this week. I actually left my cell phone on my desk, so I think they called Wednesday, but I called her back first thing this morning.

She told me I had been assigned to Dr. Sabin (sp?). I really had my heart set on Dr. Pryor. They said at the seminar that we could request the surgeon we wanted, so I asked if I could have Dr. Pryor. The lady (who was very nice, by the way) said she would give my folder to the person assigned to Dr. Pryor and they would call me back. Now I'm sitting here wondering if I made a mistake because I talked to her on Thursday and now it's Saturday! I know time moves slower in weight loss land, but comeon already people! :)

Anyway, I just wanted to share my excitement! Anyone know how long it takes from initial appointments to WLS?

I don't know about Duke, but mine took a few months.  The end of April was my first appt and my surgery was the end of June.  There are a lot of appts to go to in that time.  Don't worry they will call you back.  Everything moves slower than you want it too...

I waited until today to call back. I got the name of Dr. Pryor's scheduler and left a message on her voicemail about noon today. Didn't hear back today, hopefully tomorrow!
