Roux-en-Y gastric bypass is done. It took me a day longer in the hospital due to not being able to keep any proteins down at first. But it has all worked out and home sweet home...

I will do my best to tell you anything about my experience that you want to know. The biggest things are it is not very painful. It is more about adjusting to the new stomach. I could not keep those protein shakes down after surgery. But I got something called Isopure it is kind of like a sports drink texture and was able to handle that. Dr. Bauman said that if you drink alot of protein shakes in the weeks working up surgery that this happens. I was drinking the Adkins shakes as a breakfast replacement. and loved them. After surgery they were like trying to drink paint. And another thing that I was prepaired for was that I gained weight during surgery...lol. It is from  natural fluid gain during surgery.  Good luck to you on your new journey.
