Dalton,

Thanks so much... If you can stay in touch with Ben I'd really appreciate it. As you can imagine, this weighs very heavily on him.

Good morning, everyone!
Haven't been here in a few days... just REALLY busy!!  Yesterday was extremely stressfu and i found myself looking for food!  I've got to get out of that habit!!!  The good thing is that i realized what i was doing and why so i was able to stop myself.

Today will be another busy day, and i'm going to be much more conscious of what's going into my mouth.

Have a good day, Everyone... eat healthy... be happy!!!

Missed you Judy, glad you are back.

Maybe if you try keeping some sliced up crunchy fruit and vegetables for the munchies.  I love cucumbers and carrots.  Sometimes just sliced tomato w/ balsamic dressing drizzled.  You can buy applies already sliced and bagged too.

Since it is cold, I keep a pot of herbal tea available too.  There are so many flavors out there now.

Have a GREAT day!

Hi Judy,

I really understand about heading for food during times of high stress. I found myself heading that direction today and like you, I was able to recognize it and stop myself. While I could kick myself for heading that direction, I know that a couple of years ago we would have just kept going and now we recognize the dangerous behavior and work to make changes so that we can continue to enjoy the good health and improved quality of life we have found.

I hope things get better for you soon.

All the best my friend,

Barb - I'm so sorry that there is yet another crisis in the family. I know it must seem endless to you. We're here for you - if nothing else prayers will be going up for safe travels, strength and peace for you and yours.

Goody - I completely agree with needing some sunshine for mental health purposes. My outlook is less than rosy here of late and I think the majority of it has been due to the dismal weather we've had.

Grammy - (((Hugs))) and prayers for what you've been through and are continuing to go through. It seems like everyday I hear about someone else being diagnosed with Cancer.

Not much is going on here today. I've got my evening workout planned and I'm actually looking forward to it. Food really shouldn't be an issue today - I've got everything packed and planned out. Now if the toilet goddess will just cooperate and let the beans, water and extra fiber do their thing I'll be a very happy camper. Until then I'll be semi-**tchy, bloated and crampy.

Who can we call to make this the official "monsoon" season in North Carolina?

Iris,

It is good to see you...I am with you about the sunshine!  I hear birds chirping this morning, so maybe things will get better this week...although, *they* are predicting bad weather here for the weekend again!

Iris, maybe if we all do the "sunshine dance" in lieu of the "rain dance" it will become more like Arizona in the Carolinas?!!
