I'm soooo excited I have a date......

Hello all OH friends!

Well, I went for my decision visit today and I have a surgery date.....Next Tuesday, Feb 9th!!!!!! The lady that does the schedule is a friend of mine so she knew I really needed to work around my husbands work schedule. Thankfully he will be on his 4 day break next week and will be able to hold the fort down while I am in the hospital. I told a friend today that the 9th will be the first day of the rest of my life!  Everyone has been so supportive of my decision and are willing to help in any way. I am so blessed to have great people in my life! I would also like to mention all the people I have connected with on OH have helped me sooooo much in making my decision and answering questions and just being there for me thus far. I am sure I will have lots of questions in the near future!  I look forward to being on the "losers" bench very soon too! Say a prayer that I will make it through the "cabbage soup diet"!  Really don't like anything in it so this will be a very trying week for me...I start it tomorrow!

If you don't like the cabbage soup, just eat everything else on the diet for that day.  It will go quickly.  The diet is to help shrink your liver for an easier surgery.  Don't forget to drink a lot of fluids during your diet.  You do not want to be dehydrated the day of surgery.

I am so very excited for you.  Your day will be here before you know it.

That is so great! Congrats!! I have my first consultation appointment that morning as well. I will send a few extra thoughts and prayers your way and I'm in the area. I'm so happy for the feedback you (and everyone else) gave me regarding Dr. Classen. He will be doing my surgery as well if everything goes good. So excited for you!

Woo Hoo !!!!!!!!! Time flies when you're having fun - this next week will be over before you know it. We'll all make sure that there's a spot shined up for you on the losers bench. Can't wait to watch you take this incredible journey with us. It truly is the beginning of the "best" of your life.

YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!  You'll be back home in the recliner before you know it!!! Just get up and walk, walk, walk after the surgery! Even if it's a few feet at first..... SO happy for you!
