OT: Prayers for my grandnephew please...

My nephew and niece just welcomed their new son Kale Ward into the world this morning, but apparently little Kale is struggling to breathe! It looks like he has an air bubble in his lungs that will not dissipate, so his lungs are not functioning properly... They are looking at moving him to the NICU at Children's Hospital in Dallas.

Please say a prayer for his safe passage through this storm so early in his life's journey.

Thanks for your prayers and keep them coming. My sister in law called to say that Kale has been transported to the NICU at the Children's Hospital in Dallas, but that he is stable and they expect him to survive. He has a pneumothorax, which is an air pocket outside of his lung that doesn't allow him to fully expand his lungs. That said his last O2 reading was at 100%! YEAH!! 

My niece is resting following her CSection and she and my nephew Steven are surrounded by the love and prayers of friends and family.

I haven't been here in a couple of days so i didn't see this earlier.... but count me in on the thoughts and prayers for Kale!    {{{ Hugs}}} to you too... you certainy don't need any more stress on your plate!!!

While pneumothorax is nothing to take for granted, it sounds as though he is getting good care and has every reason to heal completely from this.  So glad to hear he is doing better!
