Good Morning!

Hope everyone had a wonderful nights sleep and ready to enjoy the sunshine for today!  I see Goody has not posted this morning so I am going to get it started.
Yesterday was an OK day. Long boring meeting yesterday afternoon but I survived.  My food choices were OK.  I did have a piece of Pineapple cake that I should not have eaten. Suprisingly I felt kind of blah after I ate it. Guess that's a good thing!
Today I slept late and now I'm up washing clothes, playing with the dog, and of course checking in with all my OH friends .

My husband said he is going to work on things outside today so I hope to join him and enjoy the sunshine and maybe get some walking and excersise in.

I did have a pleasant suprise this morning when I weighed.....I have lost 2 pounds. This is great for me since I have not had the WLS yet but I am trying to change my eating habits now so it won't be so different later.  Guess not having soda does make a difference!!!

Anyway, hope everyone has a great day!

Morning Everyone!

I am sitting here waiting for the construction company to come by and give me an estimate for a new roof.  I have already had breakfast with friends this morning and DH and I have both gotten haircuts.  After we finish with the roof business it will out again to run errands.  I hope to be able to sneak in an afternoon nap.  I love Saturday naps (hardly ever get one!), but I also need to squeeze in laundry today and tomorrow.

I was very low on my food yesterday and if history repeats itself, I will be eating a lot more than usual today.  But I will try very hard to make sure most of it is dense protein choices.  This usually helps to limit the calories.

Phyllis you are doing GREAT with the changes you are making.  It is easier to make changes into habits if you take them one at a time instead of all at once.  The hardest one for me was no drinking while eating, I thought I would never be able to do that.  It is just second nature now.  I really do not want to drink when I eat now.

I was never a soda drinker, so that was not a habit I needed to change.

Will our roof appointment is here, so its off again for me.

Everyone have a GREAT Saturday!

It's one of those sorta - blah - Saturdays. A little sunshine would probably do wonders for my outlook. I only jumped on the computer so I could download some new music to my mp3 player before I go for a walk. BUT OH NO - David's laptop doesn't want to work with my MP3 player. So I guess I'll get off of here and go walk.

We've done a couple of Honey Do's around here and the Man Child has determined that he's earned an afternoon nap. Guess after my walk I'm headed to Wal-Mart to drag home that elliptical I've had my eye on for a while. Wish me luck.

Hi All... It's afternoon now, so I'm kind of late getting on to check in.

Phyliss, Carrie is so right when she said that you are on the right track by making small changes... It is the cumulative total of those changes that will make all the difference in your weight loss and ultimately your ability to maintain the associated losses and gains in the long term. Like you, I made a number of smaller changes before surgery and lost weight before my surgery. I continued and still continue to make changes as I move forward. Wishing you all the best as you continue your own journey.

I'm still working on sorting through, cleaning up and putting things away in my room. It's taking me forever... Because in part, my concentration and focus are a mess and because I'm absolutely overwhelmed. I've gotten rid of a ton of my 'before' stuff that I didn't even realize I still had in my dressers... I have to tackle the closet next.

Last night I had a family Pow Wow with my siblings regarding to mom and I could feel those sibling rivalry things raising their ugly heads. I got my feelings hurt and decided to sit quietly for the rest of the meeting. A couple of years ago I would have dived head first in to some combination of fat and carbs. I don't keep much of that in the house anymore and decided to go for protein and leave the stuff that would undo me alone.

I spent the rest of the evening with Sarah watching the Hope for Haiti telethon and she convinced me to call in so that she could give some of her latest babysitting money to the cause. We added some to it and after the donation she was able to talk to a celebrity... Some guy I've never heard of but made her knees weak in the very best way.

I made up some cottage cheese pancake for Sarah and I this morning. It's such a satisfying, decadent, yet guilt-free way to start the day! After that I did a major clean up of the kitchen... you know, taking everything apart and really CLEANING!!!

I took Sarah to pick up a friend and we grabbed a burger for lunch. I let my pouch take care of me and limit my intake... Thank goodness I have it. I had about 2/3's of my little burger and was done. Not the best choice in the world I guess, but it worked for me today.

I'm honestly not sure what's on the menu for dinner tonight, but since I indulged at lunch, I'll try to make a leaner choice for dinner.

I hope you all have a good day. Talk  you tomorrow.

Good afternoon all.  Yesterday was pretty good.  I don't think I posted after we went out last night but my daughter changed her mind from Golden Corral to our favorite mexican restaurant where, interestingly enough, she gets a hamburger and french fries.   I wanted something different so I ended up with a chile relleno, hard taco, and beans.  I ate the chile relleno and it's my new favorite.  Also ate a couple bites of the beans but didn't touch the taco.

Today hasn't been a great day.  I've had the munchies all day.  I've been reading and watching movies.  I will try to get in protein tonight since I haven't done so good yet.  Really wanted to make the chicken taco crockpot recipe today but haven't even done that.I'm going to get it in the crockpot tonight to put on in the morning.  I WILL get up and get on the treadmill later though.  I've done it two days in a row so far and I WILL keep going.  Just felt like being lazy today.

Tomorrow will be a busy day filled with church then a baby shower in the afternoon then church again tomorrow night.

Hope you all have had a great day!

BTW, I'm going with a friend to Greenville Monday and her favorite new place is Zaxby's.  I've never been.  Any suggestions of what I can get?
