Friday Check-in

It's Friday!  It's Friday! Thank you God, It's Friday!

How was your day yesterday?  Do you have any plans for today?  How does your weekend look?
Come on in and share your thoughts and ramble away with us.

For me, yesterday, was one day I would never want to re-live again.  In addition to a very busy, stressful, never ending day at work, Fred has come down sick.  Like Iris calls David, the man child does not do sick very well.  I actually think a 5 year old would be easier.

Today I am off to work with a full schedule before me.  I really have wonderful clients and it is days filled with clients that help me get through the days filled with administrative duties.  Fortunately, today is a mostly client day.

My weekend is jam packed with personal appointments and social events.  Tomorrow we will start off early with breakfast with friends, appointments for both Fred and I to get our hair done, then home for an appointment with a roofer to give us an estimate only to go back out again to do our weekly grocery shopping and general errands.  I need to get some laundry done sometime this weekend.  Sunday will be more errands and lunch with friends at Smokey Bones and Football.

If I do not get another chance, I want to wish each of you-

A WONDERFUL day today and wishing you the weekend you hope for.

Totally freaking out here!!!!
Last night our nieghbor was up and OMG he sat down near my laptop and spilled some wine on my laptop.
I have it upside down and unplugged and been reading what can be done.
Any advice would be good.
Have to take my portable bi-pap back today and run some errands other than that I am feeling fine just ready to pull my hair out.

Well starting today this is my Saturday. My work schedule has changed to Sunday through Thursday from now on. I am very happy with this schedule and it means not having to miss the third Saturday meet-ups unless like when I went to Tulsa to visit the grand-kids last Saturday I am traveling for fun. So today I will be doing all those Saturday errands I have to do each week but now it will be less crowded at Costco and Sam's Club and the grocery store since most folks are working.
I got a surprise on my paycheck yesterday. My hourly rate increased. I still won't make as much as the DH does on his unemployment check but it still felt good that my bosses think I am worth more. I did not see it until I went to deposit my check. I got so excited that I called my boss and asked if what I saw was correct and he said yes! So I thanked him profusely and let him know I really appreciate it. His reaction shows me I did do the right thing in calling and thanking him.

It's another day in a very rainy paradise. But on a great note - It's FRIDAY...It's PAYDAY...

I know we all go through love -hate relationships with our scales. I think mine is sadistic. It's been a stressful week and when I jumped on the scales this morning......I was up to 215.0!!!!!!! What on Earth happened???? Last Friday was 209.6. that's a gain of nearly 5.5 lbs in ONE WEEK.... I was ready to swerve into oncoming traffic this morning. I've looked back through my daily plate and I see where I was a little high on carbs, salt and fat this past week. BUT NOT 5 lbs WORTH!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! And no it's not that time of the month - hysterectomy in '05 fixed that.

I'm going to chalk it up to stress and commit to starting back on the absolute basics on MONDAY morning. I'm modifying things this weekend as it's the Man Child's birthday and he expects to celebrate - with pasta of course.

I've decided not to renew the gym membership - I've picked out an elliptical machine to add to my home gym. David has an extra TV and cheap DVD player that I've claimed. So this weekend's project for me is setting up the GYM in the garage. I'm kinda excited about that. Now I have no excuses.

Woo Hoo! It's FRIDAY!!!

So glad for the weekend. Since I was out of town last week I have been working on the ever existing pile of laundry. Hope to fini**** the weekend!  Had a great day yesterday. Went for my Psych visit and passed! :)  The lady was very nice and she said I am ready.  Went to the movie..big disappointment..then went to the Fay support meeting.  Learned about a new web site and met a couple of great girls.  I will be looking forward to meetings in the future!

Really BOMBED OUT on the food yesterday!!!  I am trying to do better today. We have B-B-Q plates from a fundraiser for lunch and I have leftover grilled chicken for supper. Really trying to get tha****er down too!

Also making an appointment for Curves today, I really liked it before and looking forward to getting started again.

Today at work will be OK. We have an all afternoon meeting so I hope I can stay awake!!

Hope everyone has a wonderful day!!!

Good morning, Everyone!!!

Glad to see so many here this morning.... I, too am REALLY happy it's Friday... it has been a hellacious (sp) week!!!  I haven't (& won't!) stepped on a scale all week, my food intake has been ridiculous, and i'm sure i'm up!!!

Just as a quick side comment (read rant)... we went to dinner at one of those "name brand" (if i said the name, you would all know it) cafeteria's while we were out and about... I was REALLY trying to make smart choices, fish, steamed cabbage, salad.  Well,  as I was eating, a piece of cabbage fell off my fork.  Who would think that steamed cabbage would be covered with grease and oil??? That one little piece of cabbage rolling down my NEW shirt left enough grease/oil (I don't even know what it is) to stain my new shirt enough that i'll never be able to wear it again!!!  I don't understand why restaurants have to coat all their food in grease!!! I will never go back there!  Whew!!!  I feel better now!!!

Anyway, i can only try today to make better choices.  So once again I start over and hope i do better.

You may have tried everything but I have put Dawn dishwashing liquid on an oil stain.  It took it out after a few hrs.  I hate ruining new clothes.  That stinks.

Try the DAWN. It is without a doubt the cheapest and most convenient laundry treater you can ever use - AND IT WORKS.  I only wish I'd discovered it years earlier.
