Wednesday Check-in
How was your day yesterday? Do you have any plans for today? Come share or ramble with us.
Yesterday was a restful day for me after my bout with a virus. I was able to glance through my OH magazine and catch up a little here on the OH website.
Today I still feel a little weak but will head in to work for the day. I can't stand to "waste" another vacation day on being sick. I know it will be just like a Monday today since I have been out but I know I will be able to handle it and then get home for more rest.
I made some low fat deviled eggs on Sunday so I will have some with fresh strawberries for breakfast. Lunch will be some chicken salad from Trader Joes. Dinner will be a chicken casserole that my DH loves. I will get some protein in for snacks also. I know I need to force as much water/crystal light as I can to get hydrated after loosing so much the last few days.
Sounds boring, but after the last 2 days, boring sounds wonderful to me!
Hope everyone has a WONDERFUL Wednesday!
Good Morning!
Today is going to be a busy day for me. Payroll has to be finished, data has to be keyed, Rotary meeting at noon, truck reports......and the list goes on. I'm just thankful to have a place to come to work!
I am excited about my Psych visit tomorrow and the support meeting tomorrow night. I have come to rely on this site and the friends I have made to help in preparation for the procedure. I am excited to finally meet some of the wonderful people at the support meeting. I
I know I have not had the procedure but am trying to get used to "thinking" post WLS when I eat. yesterday I had a pack of Reduced fat crackers for breakfast..I know not the best choice. for lunch I had leftover calzone, for dinner I had chicken with zuccini and onions from Japanese and had enough left over for 2 more meals! no snacks and drank lots of water. I also walked during lunch break.
Today I hope to get in some walking time after work. It helps to keep an extra pair of tennis shoes under my desk so I have no excuse not to walk if the weather is good.
Hope everyone has a great day!

Yesterday I went to see the Dr about my hand and now he wants an MRI because he thinks I've done some potentially serious tendon damage that might require surgery. Let's hope not!
I didn't get nearly as much done as I wanted to yesterday, but today is another day. I'm going to try to do some things to take care of me and get some 'stuff' done.
I hope everyone has a good day.

Instead of saying "boring" how about "pleasantly ordinary". Has a nice ring to it - doesn't it?
I ended up not going to the OBX support group again last night. The "Arse-ritis" in the tailbone was killing me by the time I rode home from work. the thought of another hour in the car was more than I could tolerate. I do have the orthopedic doc's number out in front of me and have plans on putting him on speed dial so I'll be his first call at 9 this morning when he opens. I really don't think there's much that he'll be able to do for it. How's that for positive this morning?
Errrrrr.......I'm feeling like I've drank a little HaterAde this morning.
I do have my food planned today and I feel like that's got me a little more grounded than yesterday at least. I wish we had a Trader Joe's nearby it always sounds like they have some wonderful stuff there. What's in the Chicken casserole that you're making?
Hope everyone has a wonderful Wednesday. Mine's getting better.

I like "pleasantly ordinary". It has a wonderful ring to it. Thanks.
Iris, when I was having problems with my back and found out I had arthur in the lower back and my right hip is actually higher than my left hip, I went to a chiropractor and after a series of "manipulations" I have done wonderfully. I have no more pain and only need to follow up about every 6 weeks. I am in and out of his office in 15 minutes for each session now. Something to think about....just saying.
The chicken casserole is not one of my favorites, but DH will not eat vegetables and has high blood pressure, high cholesterol and is diabetic so I compromise with low fat and low sodium.
2 lbs of chicken cooked and shredded (I use 6 chicken breasts)
1 can cream of mushroom soup (low fat, low sodium)
1 can cream of chicken soup (low fat, low sodium)
16 oz sour cream (fat free) I was thinking that greek yogurt would work too!
mix together and put in a casserole dish then top with 1 sleeve of Ritz crackers-crushed I use reduced fat) and drizzle with 1 stick of butter-melted( I use Smart Balance Light)
Bake at 350 for approximately 30 minutes or until bubbly.
Hope your tail bone is doing better today.................Carrie
Well, coffee is finished and time is going by way too fast so I better close down and hit the road. Everyone have a wonderful day!
