Tuesday Morning Check In
Good Morning All!
It looks like Carrie is busy this morning, so I'll start the Check-in thread...
This morning I made Sarah a stack of my Cottage Cheese Pancakes and sliced up a small valencia orange to fuel her for her dreaded math final. I'll have a couple myself. They are wonderfully decadent way to get in the protein and still enjoy a sweet breakfast.
I'm heading off to have my hand checked and hopefully my weigh in at the Dr's will be uneventful. I'm sure that my BP will be normal... One of the many benefits of this journey!
For lunch, I'm thinking about making a chicken salad to have over spinach. I tend to use about 1/2 light mayo and 1/2 greek yogurt to make the dressing. It's rich and creamy without the guilt.
I'll make a pot of soup for dinner tonight with some leftover pot roast. It will be heavy on pot roast and I'll add some Barilla Pasta Plus to further boost the protein. I'll also add some carrots, beans, corn and a few other vegi's to it and start it off with a small spinach salad.
I need to work on putting away the last of the holiday stuff and see about getting a few other chores done. I have an IEP meeting today for Sarah to see how to best move forward with math for her and I have to prepare for a family pow wow regarding my mother's health and how to best care for her. These are always hard for me; but I know it's so much harder for her and I'm trying to remember that.
Well... I hope you all have a good day. One where you take care of yourself in every way possible.

I'm planning on going to a local support group meeting tonight. I think that'll be fun. But going means that I'll miss out on my time with the Wii tonight. I forgot to bring my walking shoes back to work today so I guess that means no exercise for me today. Not sure how I feel about that.
Not sure what in the world I'm eating today. I've got the drawer and fridge at work stocked but I'm eating without a plan at this point. Not good for me.
TAILBONE UPDATE.............It's not dislocated. I have arthritis in that area of my lower back. ?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? There was so much going on last week that I didn't ask many questions at all of my PCP. The biggest part that I remember is that he wants me to follow up with a Orthopedist and to call back to his office if I wanted them to make the referral phone call. Hopefully I'll get that scheduled in the next week or so. I just really want to get past Wayne's follow up visits before I schedule much of anything else.
Here's to a short work week. They're usually the most hectic. Have a great day.

Good Afternoon Everyone!
I have been a little "under the weather" since late yesterday morning. I think I have one of those 24 hour stomach viruses. I am feeling much better and I am now able to divorce myself from the "Powder Room"
Yesterday I was able to tolerate a half day at work and then it was home and in bed for me. It was hard to even drink liquids. But after a good afternoon of sleep and half of the night I thought I was over it. NOT! At 3:30 this morning I woke up with diarrhea and it continued through the morning. I went back to bed for 2 hours and now feel almost brand new.
My plans for the rest of the day are to force as many liquids as possible, to include protein shakes and just rest so I can get back to work in the morning. I hate wasting my time off by being sick, I would prefer to be enjoying it instead.
I hope everyone has a WONDERFUL Tuesday!

I know it's a little late for the morning check in, but thought i'd check in anyway. Been busy today with work, ugggh!!! I hate this time of year, and i know it will only get busier!!! Oh well... i'll handle it. I have no choice.
Food wasn't too bad for me today. I had my "regular" cottage cheese & blueberries, with nuts for breakfast and went to Elmo's diner for lunch and had the southwest grilled chicken salad. It was really good!!! lots of chicken, black beans & pico de gallo!!! Yum. I'll probably have the other half for dinner tonight.. I'm just not in the mood to cook.
Barb, your tonights dinner sounds delish, and close to what i made last night, I thru some Barilla plus in mine to... it's nice to have the extra protein and pasta all together!!!
Tomorrow will be another busy day... have to take the furbabies to the groomer early and then go with hubby to see about some health issues. I had to cancel lunch with a friend that i was really looking forward to, but want to be with hubby while he tries to get these issues resolved.
Talk to y'all tomorrow afternoon or evening... have a great evening and a fantastic tomorrow!!!
