I have a WOW moment

There was a point in this journey where I could not hardly imagine wearing my Mom's clothes but it became a primary goal. I managed to starting dressing myself from her closet around Christmas last year. I haven't thought much about that recently.

Moma and I went thrifting today. I found a gorgeous pair of brown slacks. They'd be perfect for work. So I go to try them on - way to big - especially in the seat. So my Mom decided to try them on - THEY WERE TOO TIGHT FOR HER. Especially in the hips.

I'm  really smaller than my Moma!!!!!!!! Who'd have ever thought it? Certainly not me. So then she decided to go back and find me a pair of pants that hit me. I came home with a pair of  size 14 slacks. I also ended up with a second pair that didn't have a tag in them.

I also picked up a dress when I went in that still hadthe tags on it that would make a great  Easter Dress. It also said it was a size 14. I didn't think it would fit my linebacker shoulders but I tried it on anyway and SURPRISE - SURPRISE - SURPRISE. It fit too but when I came out in it my Moma (God love her) took one look at it and told me I looked too frumpy in it. That I needed something younger looking. Have I told yall how much I love this woman?

Happy Thrifting!!!!

Isn't that a great feeling - being able to go thrifting and find stuff that fits and bypassing your mom's closet?  I have now bypassed my mom and have started to give her my "big" clothes.  She came to give me my depo shot today (always given in the hip) and when I moved my panst she said "wow what a tiny butt".  LOL!!  That was so funny!  I love that we have people to support us, don't you?

Congrats!!!

Hi Iris,

I am delighted that you had such a good thrifting day... I'm also glad to hear that you might be starting to see the new you ... bit by bit.
