Pat on the back

Hello friends,

Well I am going to "pat myself on the back" tonight  .....I have not had a soda in 2 weeks!  This is something I was not sure could be done.  I know after surgery I will not be able to have them so I decided to let go of them now.  I also have been trying watch my portions and increase my water.  I even walked today at work :)  It was so nice outside I took advantage of it.  I called today to find out about signing up for a workout program too.  I am so ready to have the procedue I want to get everything lined up so I can be ready!!!!

You go girl!  Soda was my downfall.  So now I barely touch it - maybe a swallow every once in a while.  But I'm still scared of it.  You are doing a great job getting ready.   Good luck to you!

BTW, love your username - my dh is a fire chief.

Phyllis, you are making some very important changes that will contribute to your successful surgery and weight loss.  I gave up Diet Dews about 2 months before my surgery in Oct 07.  I really have not missed them.  Congrats on getting a head start on your journey!

Phyllis,

Congratulations!!! Many people wait until they have their surgery to 'start' their journey. I am so delighted that you have already started yours. Like you, I was absolutely addicted to my sodas, but to be honest, I almost never even have a sip anymore and don't really miss it. I would never have imagined that! The surgery will help you get the excess weight off, but it is making the lifestyle changes that you are putting into place now that will help you to be successful in the long term.

Wishing you continued success,

Barbara
