Good Morning Everyone!

How was your day yesterday?  Do you have any plans today?  Do you feel like rambling?
Well, come on in and share with us.

Yesterday was stressful to say the least.  Although my work days have always been very busy, I am really going to have to be very mindful of my actions and reactions from here on out.  Each day I have with my coworkers will be a gift.  It was decided yesterday that all restructures (read: down sizing)  will be made on a day to day basis.  I think I can honestly say that I feel like I am on "pins and needles".

I am very proud of myself.  I did not use, or even turn toward, food to smother my feelings and emotions.  Ms. Picky did handle herself well also.  I only had problems with dinner and keeping it down.  But by that time I had not slept in more than 36 hours and was exhausted in general.
I did take Barbara's advise and had the massage with reflexology.  With a little help from Tylenol PM, I slept just like a log for  more than 8 hours.

I am rested and ready to handle another day.  My food plan does not exist for today as I have both a lunch and possibly a dinner meeting with out of town clients.  Both meals will be brought in to their business so we can optimize our presentation time.  I will just make the best choices I can from what will be offered.

Iris, I hope everything went well with your son's doctor appointment.

Wishing you all a WONDERFUL Thursday!

Good Morning!! Please say a prayer, swing a chicken, do some sort of hokey dance or whatever it takes to get the kiddo through surgery tomorrow. Yep - he has to have surgery on the nose. From what I understand this will be quite a painful recovery.

Yall have come to realize that I HATE needles - guess what? Wayne thomas LOATHES them worse than I do. We had to go have his pre-op stuff done yesterday afternoon and while we were in the lab they had to do one tiny blood draw (ie..a tiny, tiny tube was all they needed). He turned ashen and were it not for a very quick thinking lab tech. he would have wound up on the floor rather than in a chair with his head between his knees.

Not sure what time surgery will be. they'll be calling between noon and 4 today to let me know. I love playing the waiting game. UGHHH!!!!!!!!

On a good note Buddy will be home by the time I get home from work today. He and Wayne are very close so he decided to come home and be there to help me if I needed it with Wayne. He did not like the idea of being 8 hours away from his Moma during what should be a very routine procedure. he reminded me last night that we have had a saying since their Daddy died that it's the 3 of us against the world. I love my boys. They have become some incredible young men that I'd be proud to call my own even if they weren't.

I didn't get my work out in with my Wii last night. I did make really good food choices and got my water and vitamins in. I guess in the grand scheme of things it was a good day. I was exhausted by the time I crawled into bed last night.

OK - yesterday I challenged yall to do something fun - David rented me a comedy to watch last night (not his favorite but one of mine) What did yall do?

Blessed are the flexible for they shall not be bent out of shape.

Carrie,

I can only imagine the stress level in your office now. I'm so proud of you for taking care of yourself. I'm glad you had the massage and then were able to get some well-deserved and absolutely necessary sleep. I'm sure it will help you to cope with the challenges that the new day will bring.

I did a little bit better yesterday. I had breakfast, lunch and dinner and had protein first.

I'll work on doing even better today. I have a Grads Group tonight and have to admit that I always really enjoy the more intimate, small groups, so I'm looking forward to it. I also really enjoy the Grads Group because the discussions focus on issues close to my own journey. I love to pay it forward as I help those that are coming behind me, but I have to admit that I started this particular special interest group because it is something I really needed and hoped others would benefit from as well. I wish you were nearer and could attend this one... I know that it would be one that 'fit' you as well.

I am looking forward to the warmer weather and with that possibly being a little more active. We'll see. Right now, my wrist and hand just ache even when they are bundled up, so I haven't ventured out much unless I need to run an errand.

Wishing you all a good day and saying prayers for the people of Haiti.

Yesterday was a yucky day.  Trevor found out that although they gave him the RA job for this semester,  they should not have because he has not had his court date yet.  All he has to do is complete his community service and the under age drinking charges will be dropped.  For those of you who missed that little treat, he blew a 0.01 back in Nov.  So, now after having moved all of his stuff to a new dorm and working the job for 1 month, he had to resign and this weekend has to move out.  Who knows where he will end up.  He can re apply after his court date for next yr.   Well, we can live with that but it is a pain in the neck.  Now we owe more $$ since that job allowed him to have free room and board.  I hope that they prorate it since he did work that month.  who knows.  He was told Monday when he went to student health feeling really sick that he has mono.  He has been feeling horrible.  He has missed most of his classes this week.  They gave him a note for class.  He went back to the health center yesterday and they put him on steroids too.  They said his white count has come down a bit so that is good.  I just hope that he doesn't miss so many classes that he screws himself.  ack
Today will hopefully be a better day.  I get off at 1:30 and I don't have to go in to my part time job.  I will work out and maybe cook dinner!
My body does not define who I am but I am trying to define my body.  It  gets easier with every pound I drop.
