6 month physician visits

I was wondering if anyone out there had to see a physician for 6 months due to insurance? I just moved to Rocky Mount and I need to find someone that has helped those that want to have the surgery. I know not all dr. approve of it so I was wondering if anyone in this area knew of someone i could go to that supports the surgery.

I'm from Raleigh and my PCP I had who actually suggested the surgery is in Cary, so I am sure that won't be much help, but I did have to do the 6 month physician documented weight loss attempt. It's really important that your Dr. understand what they need to document for the insurance. You can usually get that information from your insurer. If it is not correctly documented, they can make you redo the 6 months. I know, it happened to my husband when they didn't like 'how' it was documented.

 

I was just reading your post (better late than never) but maybe if you went to the support group at Nash that meets the first Monday of the month some of the people in there could tell you who they went through to do their 6 month supervised program.  I am not saying you have not been to a support group meeting, but if you have or are planning on going to one everyone in there loves to share and try to help.
