Nut appt.

Okay, the nutritoinist appt. I was worrying about last week ( that was cancelled because she was sick) is on for tomorrow.  Worried..........

Lisa - Try not to stress too much over this appointment.  As I recall, my initial appointment with the nutrionist not only covered my normal (at the time before surgery) eating habits, but concentrated a lot on what to expect after surgery.  I never once felt judged by him and only that he was trying to get an understanding of where I was and how I would transition to the new pouch.  :)

My experience and my husband's was very similar to Rhonda's. I have only found the Nut. to be helpful and supportive. They took a look at where we were and as Rhonda mentioned, helped with ways to transition. They gave detailed instructions letting us know what to expect during each phase. They understand that you are likely to have to make some significant changes, but I never had a since of being scolded or judged. I hope and expect that you will have a similar experience.

My appt. was great today!  Thank you so much for your concern and posts.  I passed the Nutritionist's "test" today and she has approved me.  Yeah!!!!!  Plus, I had lost 9 pounds!    Now I am just waiting on her report and my surgery date.
