Monday Check-in

I'm chiming in - better late than never. It was a typical Monday. Of course I stayed up too late last night - didn't sleep very soundly because I was worried that I'd oversleep. Then my computer that was just fixed on Friday -----wasn't. I spent all day with I.T. (they're in Ohio) on the phone finally to come to the decision at 4:45 that we'll start bright and early in the morning reinstalling my operating system and such. My relationship with my computer is much like that of my relationship with food - love it or hate it. Rarely is there a happy medium.

My food has been good today. I remembered both doses of my vitamins. And I'm extremely hydrated. I've started taking a half gallon container of decaf tea to work with me and today it was gone by 2 this afternoon. I realized that while I was tied to the phone I wasn't rambling around looking for something to snack on. hmmmmmm....my old habit of eating when I'm bored is back and much worse than I had first thought.

I'm trying to decide if I want to fork out the $$ for renewing my gym membership or stick that money toward a few more things for my home gym. When I was the most faithful in using my gym membership is when I go straight there after work. Once I get home it seems like it's always something else I'd rather be doing. I have become more committed to doing my stretches and what I call my floor exercises (crunches, push ups, toe touches, windmills, etc)every night before bed. There were a couple that I found on line that were supposed to help with the muscles in the tailbone region - YEE HAW -----I'm going to have me some buns of steel!!!!!!

Barb - I have no clue what to say or do ----I sincerely hope you know that I am always only a phone call or an email away if there is anything I can do for you and your family. Until that point please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Time to go watch a little Wheel of Fortune in a little while and see if I can't beat David at it.

p.s. - Dilly, the dog that adopted us - is back and napping on her blanket. She stayed gone all last week and made her return appearance yesterday. When she first showed up David's kids were still here and she only stayed for about 30 minutes. Somehow she knew when it was time for them to leave because as we were hauling their stuff downstairs to the car for them to go home - she came sashaying up the steps and on in the house while the door was open. Gotta love a dog with a cat's mentality.

Blessed are the flexible for they shall not be bent out of shape.

Iris,

Thanks for the loving concern and support... it is what you say and do that makes the difference... and please know that it does. While it won't give Ben a job, save my home or keep my mother from dying, it does help to know that I'm not alone and the there are those who truly care.

Thank you,

Barbara
