Good Morning Everyone!

How was your weekend?  What are your plans for today?  Come share or ramble with us.

This weekend was full of errands, appointments, club meetings and football.  Last weekend was the New Year weekend so everything usually scheduled for that Saturday was moved to this Saturday.  DH and I are usually together on the weekends but in order to get everything done and get to appointments we started out Saturday  morning at 6:30 am in separate cars and came back home about 12 hours later.   Then we had an evening of NFL football.  Sunday was more errands and lots of football.  We enjoyed lunch at Smokey Bones with friends.

Today is back to work. I have a new recipe in the crock pot that I got off the BTV website.  It is crock pot lasagna.  So dinner will be ready when I get home from work.

We will be celebrating the 70th birthday for a co-worker at lunch today.  Lunch is at a place of her choice, I will have either soup or a salad depending on her choice of restaurants.

I will get on that gazelle again this morning before work.  I did not get on it after work on Friday as I had intended.  So I know if I don't do it in the morning it will not get done.

Hope you all had a GREAT weekend and wishing you a WONDERFUL Monday!

Good morning all.  The weekend was good.  I worked Saturday morning at my part time job at a medspa.  I love it there.  I recently had photo rejuvination done on my face to rid myself of sundamage.  It is my second go round. It usually takes 3 times.  I have seen quite a difference.  It is nice to see "age spots" and shadows dissappear along with some freckles.  soon I will be peaches and cream.  lol
After work I went to the gym for another session with the trainer.  That was good.  Now I will work on my own for a bit.  Then regroup with her for a new routine.  I like to change things up so I don't get bored and so that I am working on what I need to be working on.
Sunday DH and I went to the Hurricane's game.  They won 4 to 1.  It was a lot of fun.  I am glad that we went.
I am ready for the cold artic air to leave so that I can get back to normal and not have to live bundled up.
My younger son who is at ECU is sick again.  102.6 fever this morning.  He gets sick more than any kid I know.  At least this time it is not his throat.  He gets strep a few times a yr.  He got his tonsils out last spring and I thought that would help.  I guess it has.  He only had strep 2 times so far this year.  ack.  This time it seems to be more flu like symtoms.  So, off to studen health this morning for him.  His monday class it at 6:30 tonight.  I hope he tries to sleep a bit today so he goes tonight.
The older son who is at UNC is doing well.  Not sick. Knock on wood.

My body does not define who I am but I am trying to define my body.  It  gets easier with every pound I drop.

I'm stressing out over Ben's unemployment, my mother's illness and the very real possibility that we may lose our home. I have had at least 2 to 4 major sobbing meltdowns a day everyday this year. I'm actively seeking counseling. I'm trying not to shut down. I'm having trouble posting on the boards. I don't even go on the other boards. Just here. I'm trying, but not doing so well. I know that for me, deep depression is dangerous in a lot of ways, but it really puts my weight and all that is related in jeopardy because when my depression is really bad I don't take care of myself... I'm trying, but my successes are often outweighed by my 'failures.'

I have found that I'm really struggling to make decent, much less good choices regarding eating. Yesterday I didn't have breakfast, had a carb loaded 'snack' for what might be lunch and then finally made up a quick bowl of chicken noodle soup that was laden with chicken, but I still didn't have much of that. I also indulged in a few pieces of chocolate and several cookies. I also realized that I've been forgetting my supplements too often. Did I have too many calories? Probably not. But did I feed myself well, absolutely not.

I feel absolutely overwhelmed by the enormity of the tasks ahead... Not just weight related, but everything else as well. So.... What can I do?...

I'll try to have some regular meals that are protein and complex carb loaded.

I'll try to be sure that I'm getting in all my fluids and supplements.

I start each morning with a list of those things I am grateful for...

I'll make a list of 4 things I can accomplish today... They may be small, but maybe seeing that I can get something done will help

Good morning everyone!!!

I had a good weekend too!!!  Stan had a very stressful week at work last week, so we just hung out here and let me unwind.  it was too darn cold to go out anyway!!!  I just used my "walk a home" DVD for excercise and did it twice... so i walked 6 mile.  That was good for me.  I felt good when i was done!  I would highly recommend that dvd for anyone that doesn't like to walk in the freezing cold of winter, or the muggy hot of summer.  It's a good change from just using the treadmill.

Sunday, morning was slow moving.  Sat and had TWO cups of coffee, then worked out with the Wii Fit, Skyped for a while with a friend (i love Skype!!! it's almost like being there!)Then we finally went out to see the Avatar 3D movie.  It is really a beautiful movie... the graphics are unbelievable.  I'm always in awe of the people that can sit back and dream of these things and them make them happen.

Afterwards hubby and i went to Tomato Jakes and split a salad and a cheesesteak!!!  Yepper...  a cheesesteak!!!  It was soooo good.  We decided that it's a really good thing we don't live within delivery distance of Tomato Jakes!!!  I know i could easily be "fat girl" again!!!

Today is a quick work out and back to work.  I'm thinking fish for dinner since i was so bad yesterday eating cheesesteaks!!!  Talk to y'all tomorrow!!!

JUst a quick note on my way to my therapist this morning.
I really love her so much.
I relized something that maybe I could wear some capri pants this summer and not be embarrased OMG that would be so exciting.
Day off from working out but back at it in the morning.
My therapist office is up two big giant flights of stairs but I am able to do it every monday.
I told her if this was a few years ago no way could I have climb those stairs.

Good morning NC people and everyone else who visits our state board  I'm having a late start this morning but it is "Monday" afterall...LOL.  Actually I'm off work today and have a list of errands I need to run.  I'm taking my "babies/poochies" to get their nails trimmed which is on the top of my list today.  It's a beautiful day here in the Outer Banks of NC...cold (32) but beautiful sunshine.  I had a nice weekend and got some much needed inside stuff done so I feel "organized" today.  Anyway, I'm wishing that everyone has a wonderfully blessed day.

Cindy

P.S.  Barbara, you're in my thoughts & prayers.  God Bless you!!
