Friday Morning check-in
Yeah! It's Friday, It's Friday, It's Friday!
How was your day yesterday? What are your plans for today? Come share with us.
Yesterday went well for me. It was packed with appointments with insurance company reps. Why do they all want to visit the same day? Well I did survive. Can you tell that I am so happy that it is Friday? I got so much accomplished in between appointments yesterday. I should be "caught up" by closing today.
I did get my exercise in yesterday before work so I feel a lot more successful on that front also. I am going to plan for the gazelle after work tonight while dinner is in the oven. Let's see how that goes.
Ms. Picky Pouch has finally taken a vacation and I seem to be back to eating food again with no problems. I love my protein shakes and soups but 2 days of that is enough. Today will include the softer proteins such as eggs, tilapia and maybe some cheese.
There was no snow here in Fayetteville this morning and the rain was minimal with most moisture evaporated already. The schools are opening late, so I am sure I will have a few ladies coming in late today after they get their children off to school.
So, nothing exciting today, just business as usual. I will stop rambling now.....
Do you have any exciting plans for the weekend?
Have a GREAT day!
Good morning Everyone!!!
Beautiful morning here. Chilly, but the sun is shining and there was no snow, just a very little drizzle last night.
Yesterday was a pretty good day. Worked in the morning, then needed to get out of the house/office and did the grocery shopping and ran some errands. I actually enjoy shoping, which is unusual for me. So it was good.
Food intake was pretty good... although i did have 1/2 a hot dog at Sam's club. I don't know what it is... but I have always LOVED their hot dogs. This is the first one i've had in 2 years!!! Funny, but it just didn't taste quite as good as i remembered!!! It kind of felt greasy in my mouth, so i didn't eat much. But it was nice having the option to have it if i wanted it.... without feeling guilty!!!
Anyway, it was a good day. I got stuff done and still enjoyed myself. Can't ask for more than that!!!
Today will be a quiet day... Got to take Skooter to the vet, then, back to work!!! Talk to you later
I managed to get all my grocery shopping done last night (partly because we get the kids tonight and in parts because I really, really, really hoped we'd wake up to snow this morning). It's funny that Skooter posted about the hotgogs because that's something I used to love and just don't care for much since surgery. I bought some turkey dogs last night for one of the meals while the kids are here. I've got everything for a big pot of chili and David has been asking for Fried Chicken so I guess I'll cook that for him at some point.
It seems like every meal as a pre-op involved a frying pan and/or the fry daddy. I had to buy canola oil last night since there wasn't the first drop of "frying oil" in the house. That's a major wow moment for me. There are a few foods that I thought I'd have a harder time saying good bye to than others....I grew up on a shrimp boat - fried seafood has been a staple in my families diet since forever. But "oven fried" has made it so those protein rich foods can still be a part of my plan. You can oven fry fish, soft shell crabs and oysters. I haven't tried shrimp yet because steamed has always been my favorite way to cook those. Who knew? We make up our own breader from whatever type crackers are in the house, a handful of crushed corn flakes and a little house autry seafood breader mix. Dip the seafood in egg beaters then roll it in the breader mixture and cook in a hot oven. Good stuff - and there's no grease splatters all over the kitchen.
Guess I'll get some work done now. Hope everyone has a great day - it's FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was hoping for a few inches just so they would call off work but as it was the base was on a 2 hr delay (for sprinkles!!!). That made me laugh. I didn't know it when I left but as I was driving to work and there was little traffic, I thought I better make a call. I turned on my cell phone and low and behold I had a text from our ALPO stating 2 hr delay. So, I turned around and went home. Then I decided it was a great day to get my labs done and not have to leave work to do so. I had a bit of time after that and went shopping. I bought my second pair of size 4 jeans. I still can't believe it. How weird is that? Last yr this time my 26/28s were getting too big and I was going into 22/24s. What a yr it has been! I think about my first stall when I was so upset thinking that I was never going to lose enough weight to make me happy.
I have 4 hrs of work at my part time job tomorrow morning and then I go to the gym for a work out with the trainer. I do that now and then so that I can change things up a bit and work on body issues as they emerge. Right now, I want to work on my mid section.
Then on Sunday DH and I are headed to Raleigh to the Hurricanes game. It is a 5 pm game so it will be a late night. I have been doing more of those with the holidays that just passes. You would think I was a teenager again.
Have a great Friday and weekend. Post more on Monday. I don't usually go on on the weekends.
