I wish my scale worked...
I'm trying to decide where I want my weight to be. I think I want to be in the mid 140's. I like the way I feel and my face looks there, but I like the way my body looks when I'm in the high 130's/low 140's... I guess just getting back to the mid 140's now allows me to take a deep breath and sigh of relief. I can't tell you how much the number 150 rattled me. I guess it's because I am more than 2 years out and I don't want to be one of the regain statistics and it can happen so easily.
The good news is that I was relatively easily able to get my weight back down to a place that feels 'safer.' I didn't have to starve or even diet. What I did do was become more aware of what I was doing and made myself accountable for it... I am hoping that I have found the key to my own long term success which for me is not just losing the weight, but keeping it off.

Hmmm... I thought I'd know when I was done too, but I have to admit that now that I'm more than 2.5 years out, I don't. Part of me thinks that my 'sweet spot' is 142/145; I can sit for a reasonable period of time without having my tailbone hurt me and my face doesn't sag as much, but I have much more 'tummy roll' than I'd like to have. At 132/136, my tummy looks better, but my cheeks on my face and bum sag a bit. You just can't quite win for losing... forgive the pun ;-)

Iris,
I wonder if you did do something to it without realizing it. Honestly, when I was about 15 lbs thinner, I did have trouble with mine, but when I put on a few lbs, it was fine. I'm not suggesting you put on few, but I was pretty thin when mine was bothering me and I'm wondering if yours is more related to an injury than weight loss... I don't think this is coming out the way I'm intending it to..., but I hope and think you will understand my intent.
Warmly,

No chance that I'm willing to add padding back . Ha ha. I just look at it now as a less than friendly way of my body telling me it needs to move. As long as I'm up and active - no pain. I can handle that but I really do want to know if there's something wrong or not.

I know what ya'll mean about tail bones hurting. Seems like once I hit 225 it starting hurting, now at 196 it seems to be less hurtful. Either some weight has shifted or the loss of the addtional 29 lbs has produced less pressure on the tailbone. Whatever the case, I hope the trend continues. For a while there, I thought my life would be resigned to sitting in donut pillows.
