Newbie with questions!

I am looking into gastric bypass surgery at Durham Regional. Are there any self-payers out there and what kind of options do they offer for selfpayers. What are your monthly pmts? Trying to get an idea, because it lokking like I got to pay out of pocket. Any responces would be greatly appreciated.

I had insurance cover my surgery, but you should be able to contact their office and talk with them directly to get a better idea of how they handle self pay patients. I'm sure you aren't the first and won't be the last, so I'm sure they have a process to handle these issues.

You may want to look into getting a medical loan???? I know a few ppl that didnt have insurance and went that way. It's not that hard to get approved and they will pay for it in full and you just pay them back...Just google...I hope this helps

Durham Regional billed my insurance about 55K for my stay after my DS.  Dr. Sudan's bill (not included) was 12K.
