Good Morning Everyone!

How was your day yesterday?  Have you planned for today?  Please share.

Thanks to all that have participated on this thread these last few weeks.  Although I don't usually get back again until later in the day, all of your responses have helped me stay more focused on my goal. Again, Thank you so very much.

I love hearing your plans, thoughts, ramblings, so please, please, please keep sharing.

I did very well with my food choices and exercise yesterday.  The liquid diet has calmed down Ms. Picky.  I am planning to duplicate today with yesterday's plan.  I just can't seem to get rid of the chill I feel, so I have been getting in a lot of hot herbal teas.  I will also make my standing appointment with my gazelle this morning.

Today will be more catch up at work and just keeping warm.  My fireplace at home and the space heater at work are really get a workout this week.  And to think that up to 3 years ago I hardly ever got cold!  I grew up in the Pocono mountains and can't even imagine being there now.  I have been wearing at least 3 layers of clothes in the office and still need the space heater.

Enough rambling here....

Wishing you each a Wonderful Wednesday!

Yesterday turned out to be a good day. I know I was doing a load of venting on here - but it helped.

I've been doing a semi-glorified 5 day pouch test (mostly liquids with a protein heavy dinner) and I can't believe how much better I feel. It's amazing how quickly I can get hooked on bad carbs.  It's simple for me to avoid the bread and rice since they hurt me but other things like a couple of cookies here, a little pasta there, some white flour in this and that and then there are POTATOES. Mashed potatoes go down so easily. And my all time favorite flavorful carb - stove top stuffing. Eliminating them from my diet is --------well rocky. Going back to the absolute basics has helped me get a handle on things. I think it's a huge reminder of what I went through to get where I am now - so from that aspect it works on the mental aspect for me as well.

I've got a date with my Wii Fit tonight. I foresee a little "friendly" competition between me and the David. Can't wait - I can smoke him on quite a few of them but I cannot come close to catching him on the hula hooping. It's too funny.

have a great day!! Do whatever it takes to stay warm.

What, if I may ask, is a 5 day pouch test?

Yesterday was fair... I went to see the Dr about my hand and it looks like it's not healing quite like he'd like it to... I go back in two weeks and let's hope it's better, otherwise surgery might be on the horizon. The good news is that my BP was 92/63 and my weight was down from 151.9 to 147. What a difference a week makes?!

I screwed up and was late to my own support group meeting!(*#$@!... Mia Culpa, thanks so much to Angela who called me and I'm just 10 minutes from the location so I hopped in the car and made it. It was just what I needed. We talked about perceptions. Michelle said she sees me and thinks I'm so much smaller than she is and yet the reality is that we are the same size. Someone else was not seeing her beautiful newly 'sculpted' fact and I suggested that she have a portrait taken so that she could see herself through someone else's, less critical eyes. We are all so HARD on ourselves.

Got labs done this morning for my 6 month checkup on January 19th. OMG, that is a lot of blood!
So I am feeling about a "quart low" right now. Tried to eat some brocc/cheese soup for lunch and the pouch said no; so, I am having a cup of hot chocolate with a scoop of protein powder.

Hoping for warmer weather soon! I was always cold before, so I am freezing now.

I look forward to your morning check-ins. Thanks for sharing.

I had a busy, but good day yesterday... I worked really hard... until about 11:30 last night (i work from home so it's easy to do that) but i caught up with ALOT of stuff and so i don't feel so stressed out trying to fill my clients needs.

I realized i'm have a "night eating" problem.  I hadn't realized how much i'm actually grazing in the evenings.  My bad time seems to be between 9 & midnight.  It's not that i'm hungary, and i'm not really craving anything, but if i walk thru the kitchen, i stop and grab somesometing... maybe it's a piece of fruit, an apple, orange or bannana.  Or maybe it's my favorite yogurt, or maybe it's my favorite big, crunchy sour dough pretzels, maybe a piece of chees or some nuts... but i'm always grabbing something.  By the end of the night, i've added several hundred calories to my day... this is not good!!!  But i'm making myself more aware of it so that i can control it more... i'm gonna work on it!!

So this morning i actually did work out (Thanks for the little push, Goody).  I ignored my phones, & my email and gave myself an hour on the WII..  Santa brought me "the biggest loser" CD, so i worked out with Bob!!!  It was fun!!!

I think i'm getting back on track.  this is a good thing... i need the structure!!  Talk to Y'all tomorrow!!

Yesterday was okay.  Second day back to school after the Christmas break.  We started right back in with our afterschool program so I'm there from 7:30am to 5pm (teaching all but about 1 hour of the day - which is planning, lunch, etc.).  I have realized that I still have a stress-eating issue.  In the afternoons I get really "snack" feeling.  It's good that I don't really have time to eat eat much early on in the day because I have the remainder of the contents of my lunchbox for the afternoon.

Last night I actually got on my daily plate and tracked what I had eaten.  It was very interesting to see the breakdown.  However I was AMAZED at the amount of carbs I consume.  And I thought I was doing good.  Ha!

I've done better with carbs today I think.  Only took some cheez-its and no pretzels to school today.  I ate cottage cheese for my afternoon snack.  Ate the chicken/corn chowder that was posted here (somewhere) recently for lunch.  DH grilled pork chops and they were so good!  I ate too fast though.  Still have problems with that.  I didn't touch the buttered potatoes that he made, though.

I still have yet to make it onto the treadmill.  That 10k is going to be difficult if I don't get to work.  I just can't seem to get my tail outta bed in the morning.  I did buy new compression shorts from ebay an they came in today so maybe that will be the motivation that I need.

I am going to try to track my food for today and then get in bed so I can get up in the morning.
Goodnight all!
