I have attended the Mission WLS support group a few times but not since my surgery.  Now I can't find the phone number!!

Anyone here who goes to that meeting who can give me the schedule and phone number?

Thanks!

Hey Tamara,

I remember seeing you at the meetins I think.  I'm the grey haired lady who went to Georgia to have the duodenal switch.

Thank you so much for the info.  I'll be at the next Wednesday night meeting!  I guess that would be tomorrow?  Great timing!

Dr. Cox is a wonderful surgeon. Definetly not a big talker. Take a notebook to the hospital with you in case you have any questions. Write them down so you can ask him. If you don't ask, he is not going to volunteer information. My goal in life is to aggravate the crap out of him. I threaten to sing to him all the time if he don't talk to me.

Congratulations on the date!!! It is a very stressful time. It took me 6 months to get a date so I had done a lot of research and was very ready for the surgery.

I started going there 9/8/09, so I think I did pretty well getting the surgery now. If my Psych. doctor had mailed his info. sooner instead of holding it a month, I would have had it sooner.
You had the band? How much have you lost? How hard has it been?

I hope you have a safe ride to Hickory. It is snowing here.

The band has been a mystery for me. I had surgery 1-22-09 and soon after started having gall bladder problems.  Eventually Dr. Cox removed gall bladder after I begged for 2 months to get the thing out of me. Had to push to get it done. He was worried about scar tissue.

I have lost 55 pounds now. It has been very hard. I have had some issues with heart burn which is new to me. Did not have heart burn before surgery. Sometimes the band is very finicky. Last night and tonight have had a hard time eating dinner. Band is tight for some wierd reason.
