Happy 2010 Everyone!

How did you celebrate your New Years Eve?  What are your plans for today?  The New Year?
   Please share.

As my boss' 30 year old son said this is my most distinguished stage in life.  I think he was calling me old, but being sweet about it!  The more I thought about it the more I like that thought.  He was actually commenting about my work voice mail message and how much happier I sound then in previous years.  I have worked for his father for 21 years, so he has heard my messages throughout the years.

My DH and I stayed in for New Years Eve and were actually asleep by 9:30.  We did wake up at 12:02 to wish each other a Happy New Year when our neighbors set off fire works (lots!).  but I am happy with that choice as I have had so much fun since Thanksgiving Day that it was time to relax and just enjoy some quiet moments with DH.

Today and the rest of this 3 day weekend will be relaxation time with a few chores and errands thrown in.  I have been having a picky pouch for 2 days and Ms. Picky had insisted on liquids and greek yogurt only.   I tried some pureed white bean chicken chili soup, but she did not like that last night.  She has been very loud and active the last few days and that is just with liquids.  I am going to try some soft scrabbled eggs for breakfast and see if she will permit it.  I had decided to get back to the basics for the New Year, but I think she decided to get a head start!

I believe I got my water/liquids under control, Thank you AnnieP for your sippie cup suggestion.  It was such a simple solution that really works for me.

In 2010 I want to work on making exercise a fact of life.  I really need to find something that I love.  Maybe a few things, so if I am unable to go to the spa, I will do them on my own without a second thought or negative self-talk.  I am also going to make my tool work and get these remaining lbs off.

I wish for each and everyone of you the HAPPIEST NEW YEAR YET!!!   I wish you the good health and prosperity for all.

Had a quiet, dull New Years Eve, was asleep by 10. I am working today. Very few people here today, things are really quiet. I am looking forward to the new year and continuing on this amazing journey. Short term I must finishing going through my closet, laundry room, boxes in the basement, etc. and getting rid on the things that are too big. I am still discovering things that fit!

Wishing everyone a happy and blessed 2010!

Good morning & Happy New Year to you and yours!!!

We had quite a late night last night and i'm not too happy that i'm up and about, but my oldest furbaby was not having any parts of sleeping in and had me up VERY early after not going to bed until well after 3AM!!!  Oh Well, i can see a nap is in my near future.

Today is the day i get back on track!!!  I'm going to start recording my meals again... which i haven't done since before Christmas!!  And next week i will definity be heading to Weigh****cher for some weight loss assistance, support, and some accountability.

My New Years resolution is to reach my goal!!!  I'm 2 years out and it's about time i did that.  I don't have alot to lose, but I've pretty much been at a stand still for quite a long time.  I'm tired of standing still!!! Tme to move on!!!

Did anyone else make any resolutions???  What are yours?

We rang in 2010 quietly with friends. It's the first time we've been 'out' on New Year's Eve for a long time. We had a lovely time, but didn't get home until the wee hours of the morning and I didn't finally turn in until nearly 5am.

I have to go over to one of my mother's rentals to meet with the guy who is going to do some work, so I have to get my tail out pretty soon.

I have been 'celebrating' with food too much and my weight creeped up a few pounds. I actually already got it heading down the right direction, but that's part of what I'll be doing as we start the new year. I'm putting a turkey breast in for dinner tonight and I'm also going to clean out the refrigerator and pantry to remove anything that will keep me from getting back to where I want to be and staying there.

I need to put away the holiday stuff, but I don't know that I'll be doing that today. We'll see.

Well, it's time to bundle up and go over the rental house.

Happy New Year!
