New Year's Eve check-in
My day was just very busy at work. I had a really picky pouch day, so I stuck with protein drinks and greek yogurt all day. Maybe this is Ms. Picky's way of getting ready to gear up again for the New Year and my plans for getting back on track. I still feel tender so I will baby her again today with soft food or shakes. I went to bed earlier then usual last night and slept more than the usually 7 hours, but I still feel exhausted. I am looking forward to the 3 day weekend. I think the holiday festivities have caught up with me.
I have no plans for today except to get through my work day. I will begin the month-end and year-end accounting process today. We are just staying in tonight, probably won't even be awake at midnight. But I am looking forward to just relaxing the whole weekend with maybe a few chores or errands thrown in.
What are your plans for the day? Do you have plans to bring in the New Year? Please share.
Wishing you all an Enjoyable, Safe New Year's Eve.
Happy New Years to you too!! sounds like you are on the right track! We usually go out to Swanyks night club but this year we are staying home. Yesterday we went out and bought the party supplies.... Patron LOL and I am also making a big huge batch of my Tonga Tonga punch. I will be careful as ever since RNY it only takes a bit before I am pretty much wasted as I get older it is more fun to stay home and off the roads without worrying about being killed by some drunk idiot. Hubby is off for a 96 so I will get to spend some time with him. If the weather ever breaks we plan on taking out my Spyder for a drive!!! My Spyder is my baby LOL and can only be taken out if it is not raining or too cold (it has no top) we hope to be up to watch the ball drop in Time Square....sometimes we are fast asleep by then. We slept way later then normal today. Got up at 7:45. Felt good to sleep in. I hope you and everyone else has a fantastic New Years!!!
We normally stay home for New Year's but this year Sarah is going to a lock in with the youth group and Ben and I are going to a friend's house to enjoy a relatively quiet way to ring in the new year. They are making some WLS friendly chicken chili... mmmmm... and I'll bring a WLS friendly spinach dip. Mostly, we'll enjoy one of the many benefits of this journey... The warm friendships we've made.
One of our families that will be adopting one of our puppies will come by for a visit and I'll be running out to pick up a few things then have a quiet day.
Good news... My weight is dropping a bit. Thank goodness. I've just put the more protein, less carbs rule into play and it seems to be working.

We'll be spending a quiet New Years too!!! We have some friends coming by to help us ring out the old year and bring in the new!!! I'll make a couple of bariatric friendly snacks, have some alcohol free bubbly, maybe some wine and mostly just enjoy the company of good friends.
We used to go crazy on New Years Eve and go to clubs or hotels, shows, etc., but we haven't done that in a looooong, long time and as we were discussing last evening, we really don't miss it at all. We enjoy the privacy, the sanity and each others company.
Again,... enjoy your celebration whatever it might be. And we wish you all a happy, healthy and skinny New Year!!!
David is still sick with a nasty head cold but he does think he'll make it (The Man-Child is so funny!!!) Buddy is still home on brea****il Sunday so he plans to hang out with the "old folks" as he calls us for most of the weekend. He asked for Meatball subs for dinner tonight so I'll throw the stuff (Frozen turkey meatballs, a jar of low sugar pasta sauce, and a bag of shredded italian blend cheese) in the crock pot when I get home. They've become a favorite and minus the bun they're very pouch friendly.
I've decided that tomorrow starts the Couch to 5K training. I had started it back in the late spring and just gave in to a little knee pain (it was the handiest excuse - but still an EXCUSE). I think I'm going to take some of my Christmas money and venture into the sporting goods store for some free weights, a jump rope and a resistance band and then there's no more excuses. I'll have everything I need to do stength training at home. I know how to do this. I've just got to do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hope everyone has a Happy & Safe New Years Eve.....See ya next year.

The cool running website is pretty neat. Take a few minutes and look throught their tips and articles. There are lots of other sites out there that have similar plans but I book marked this one some time ago when someone on the diet and exercise forum suggested it.
If anyone got an ipod for Christmas and you're looking for a suggested music list check out this link for some suggestions further down in the post Pam posted a link to a site that lets you load your music according to the pace you want to run/walk :

The fog was bad out in the country where we were .
We are home and safe and sound with our animals.
I am eatting some 3 bean salad with some turkey and balsimic vineger I got for Christmas OMG I love this stuff.
The best gift I got was a wonderful message from my niece who is in India.
Her and her father have set up a health clinic and have already helped 75 children.
Rebecca also said she has seen patients with leprocy I had no idea that was still around.
I had the biggest grin on my face when I saw I had an email from her.
