My niece and her father left for India and some members of thier church on a mission yesterday.
My brother in law is a doctor and him and his daughter have gone to India to help set up a health clinic.
I had the wonderful pleasure of having lunch with my niece before she left.
The one thing I wanted her to know is how very poud I am of her.
When my sister's children were growing up I wanted so much to be part of thier lives but felt like a creature from the Black Lagoon. this was due to my super morbid obesity.
I have heard they have arrived but have a 6 hour layover somewhere in India.
I am asking people to keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

Thxs Barb,
It feels so good to feel comfortable around my them.I can just be myself and can love them with all my heart and soul.
I was so happy to let my brother's children know I would always be there for them and they all came up to me at the holiday dinner at my mom's and thanked me for the email I sent them all.My brother has type 2 diabetes and is not doing what he needs to do.
I wanted his children to know I am here for them.

I dont know what the New Year will bring but I know I am in better shape than I have ever been.

Annie,

I am sure that your family is as proud of you as you are of them.  Isn't it odd how we used to put up armor to protect our hearts?   But since RNY we are willing to take a chance with our hearts and lower that shield.

I just know you were never the creature from the black lagoon.  As long as I have known you, you have had a heart of gold.

Your family will be in my prayers for a safe and productive mission trip.
