Monday Check-in

Good Morning everyone!

I hope everyone had a relaxing, enjoyable day yesterday.

I had a very busy day for a Sunday.  Our new stove was delivered, but we then realized that we can not use our current cookware on the stove-top.  So off to the store we go to find cookware to satisfy both cooks in the house, but at a bargain.  That is a hard order to fill, but I think we did succeed.  I will be nice to cook/bake on an appliance that will work each time I need to use it.  It was difficult to make my Christmas gifts in an oven that was not consistant with temp.  I was just very happy to purchase it on time with no interest.

I did not feel real stressful yesterday, but found that I kept trying to find something to munch on.  Although I made wise choices, I don't like this feeling of "needing" to eat.  It makes me think that something is eating me.

Today is back to work and then to water aerobics.  I have taken a personal day tomorrow to run errands and just enjoy some time with a friend that I haven't seen in a while.  So if I can get through today, I will have tomorrow to look forward to.

So for today, I will concentrate on dense protein first and make sure that my sippie cup is drained not once but at least twice.  I will make sure I leave work in time for water aerobics class.

My hope for all of you today is that you have a Wonderful day!

Rushing out the door to spend the morning with yet another of my friends I have made here... My friend Susan... She's told to me arrive at a certain time and location and then we'll be off for a morning of girl's fun. I'm looking forward to it... Time with a friend and some fun... Just can't imagine what she has in mind though.

Hope you have (had) a GREAT time.  Just what you need a day out doing "girl stuff" to lift your spirits.  I love surprises too!

Back to work today.  The holidays have been fun but I felt l like I ate a ton.  My husband says I am crazy and I didn't eat as much as I think.  I guess I just had that too full feeling several times over the holidays.  But I was eating "meat" heavy meals.  Usually I could only eat the meat and few veggies at most meals because of all the starchy sides.  I did break down and have one piece of diviinity.  I didn't dump but felt bad after.  My husband and I went to the two hour calorie burn at the gym on Saturday and it payed off.  I guess if I am going to eat I need to move my butt...going to the gym at lunch =)

I'm with you Kelly, I need to move my butt.  I don't feel like I eat any more, I just want to get the rest of this weight off.  Being more than 2.5 years out, I know I really have to work it now.

I think I will start a New Years motto for me "Drink, drink, drink, move, move, move"!

I was such a slow looser, even from the beginning, I had to start working out.  The gym is absolutely the best thing for me.  I have had a personal trainer for about two months and I honestly love the results.. should have done it sooner.  Now if I could only love cardio as much as weight training.  We got a Wii so I may can work up a good sweat with Wii boxing...

Back to work. UGHHH.....!!!!!...... I usually don't mind coming back after a holiday but leaving david and the kids in bed this morning was hard. He has the whole week off. BUT his kidney stone is on the move AND he's coming down with a cold. Now that I think about it coming back to work wasn't so bad afterall.

My plan for the holiday was to simply make sure I was drinking enough water and I think I succeeded on that goal. It was hard eating right. From wednesday until Sunday night I never cooked so it was all about making the healthiest choices possible.

This family loves CARBS. specifically pasta and bread carbs. I ate a lot of sauce. Wednesday nite was baked spaghetti that david's neice made. Thursday was leftover baked spaghtetti and heavy appetizers at his sister's house. Friday was Spaghetti at another sister's house. Then Saturday was baked ziti and lasagna at his brother's house. I told him that I learned something very important about him - that he had to be Italian. When we got home last night I cooked a pot of Chicken soup and when it was ready I called the kids to the table. I heard Serena (all 5 years of her) tell Cameron - "I hope we're not having PissGetti again" I thought I'd die laughing.

My scales didn't move this holiday so I think that was a huge success. I'm thinking I'll start back at the gym next week.

If you can get his family to start using the Barilla Pasta Plus, you'll get your protein in while they are enjoying their carbs.

I hope that his kidney stone doesn't bother him too much. I know how painful they can be.

I hope that you have a great day.
