I have been blessed or cursed with natual curly hair all my life.
Some say they would love to have curly hair but like everything it has it good and bad points.
Yesterday mother and I went to get our hair done and the girl used a hair iron on my hair OMG I love this thing.
Mother bought me a small one to use at home where have I been ?
This is almost as good as my laptop LOL

Annie - flat irons are great, aren't they?  Just be extra careful to not burn yourself - they are super-hot!

Merry Christmas!

My hair was not curly before I had my surgery so I am enjoying the curliness I have now. I used to pay big bucks to get the curls with perms and really would make a mess of my hair because of it. But I do get that sometimes a little straightness would be nice once in a while. Just don't overdo it cause the flat iron can raelly dry out and make your hair brittle if you use it too much.

I dont think I will be using it everyday.

Annie,

Sarah has her mother's hair and you may have noticed that mine is not curly but definitely wavy. Sarah has always wanted straight hair like her cousins and she rarely leaves the house without straightening her hair.

There is some special conditioners you can use when you are going to straighten your hair to keep from damaging it with the heat.

Enjoy!

Because of the fragile state my hair has been in I dont even color any more and have choosen to grow gray gracefully.
Selling Avon I have had the change to try many lotions and potions.
Yesterday At Mitchell's hair salon the owner told me about Moroccan Oil for all hair types so before I use the iron I use the oil.
I am loving having some control with the curl.

Post a picture for us to see your new hairdo. I used to have curly hair before my son was born. Now he has curly hair and mine is straight and fine. He is 29. He is also a hairdresser so now he has to take care of this striaght, fine mess he caused! Ironic isn't it?
It is not the magnitude of our actions but the amount of love that is put into them that matters.

Annie, I can certainly understand how you feel about naturally curly hair being a blessing or a curse.  I have always had curly hair and when it was longer, I would long for the straight hair.  Now that I keep it so short, it is just wash and wear.  So at this time in my life I am glad for the curl.

Enjoy your flat iron, but please nurish your hair so it doesn't get dried out by the iron.  You need to take some photos so we can see you new do.

Hope you are having a Merry Christmas..................Carrie
