Good Morning Everyone!

Please share your day, thoughts, ramblings with us.  Just check-in and say "Hello".  Even at more than 2.5 years out I find I need your support.  In the past I mostly lurked around on OH and took what I could.  I see now that was a disservice to both myself and for those who shared and did not get my feed back.  OH is where I find people like myself, people that understand where I was and where I want to go, unlike non-WLSers.

I have found that this thread has been very therapeutic for me.  I helps me to reflect on yesterday and plan for today.  I have also gotten very good advise to help me accomplish my daily goals.  So please share so that we all benefit from your experiences and by rambling you may find something you need to help you through your day.

Today is Christmas Eve.  I woke up with the YUK in my head, throat and chest.  I am going to increase my vitamin C and take this in hand before it develops into something more.  I do not need to be sick tomorrow.  I want to feel my best when I enjoy my day surrounded by all my friends.  We are 6 or 7 adults, I am the youngest at 48, who act like children through the whole day!  We have been doing this for several years and I would not change this day in any way.  It is always magic!

Today I will be making 3 desserts for tomorrow.  I am trying my hand at a Taramisu(not WLS friendly), double layer jello salad (WLS friendly) and a cheesecake type dessert cups (WLS friendly also).  I will also make a hot pineapple/cheese casserole (YUMMO), just because I really love this dish and don't like to make it for just me.

So today will be spent getting ready for tomorrow.  I will go to church tonight to celebrate in the birth of Christ.

I need to really work on my H2O today as I left my sippie cup at work in my rush to leave yesterday.  But I think, no I know, I can do this until I can purchase another cup for home.  This sippie cup has really helped in the last 3 days so I believe a 2nd cup is in order.

My DH has made me a very yummy egg dish for breakfast this morning, he can be so sweet.  I hope Santa will be good to him!  Or better yet to me!

I hope you all have a Wonderful Day!

I noticed our surgiversaries are close. I too need support. I find that when I talk to others I adhere to our living style better. I slow down my eating and make better choices.
My DH decided ater breakfast tomorrow we can leave to visit my parents in VA. My Dad has just finished Chemo and radiation and doesn't fell like traveling, so my parents would be by themselves for the first time. I'm so glad we're going.

Cathy, I don't know about you, but I seem to need the support more now then I did earlier.  The support I receive from everyone just keeps me grounded.

Please have a safe enjoyable trip to your parents tomorrow.

Hi Carrie,

I want you to know that I truly appreciate your daily thread and I think it's helping us all to reconnect. I hope that new and old will use it as a springboard.

I have a couple of last minute errands to run, then I plan to be a homebody. I've baked some cookies and have some cookie dough in the fridge... Sarah has been visiting with this friend and that and we haven't had time to work on cookies together, so we are looking forward to do it today. You know I don't even care how many we get done or who we give them to... I just enjoy doing it.

I'm planning on trying to get my supplements in today, eat protein first and not eat to many of the cookies or cookie dough... So far so good.

Have a wonderful day.

Hi Barbara,

I have really enjoyed this thread and getting to know everyone all over.  As I said earlier, I really need all of you to keep me grounded.

Enjoy every moment you have with Sarah.  She is such a beautiful young lady and will be all grown up before you know it.  Making those cookies and sharing will be moments she will carry with her and remember for time to come.

At 48, I treasure the times my grandmother spent with me in her kitchen.  We bonded and I have carried her love with me many years after she left this world.  Every Christmas I make her pecan tassies and send to my mother, her daughter.  Every year my mother calls to thank me and we spend time talking about Grandma Grim and sharing memories.

Fred and I rode our motorcycles to lunch earlier (too cold for a long ride) and then came back to finish a few details before church this evening.

Hope you have a wonderful day making memories.

I am working all day; since, I have no vacation or holiday time left (used it all for WLS appointments and follow ups!) I read the boards everyday, but don't post often. This site has been a great resource and inspiration for me on this journey. I appreciate all the folks who take time to post on a regular basis.

Will be traveling to Charlotte tomorrow (if the weather co-operates) to spend Christmas day with the grand kids, ages 2 and 9. Should be a wild day!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Years to all!

Thanks so much for sharing.  Like you I find so much inspiration and information from the people on this board.  The best part is that I actually have gotten to meet some of them and hope to meet more along the way.

Please continue to come here daily and just share, ramble, anything.

Have a wonderful time with your family tomorrow..............Carrie

We had to work half day today but I am home now and finally done with all my Christmas shopping. I will be home with my family tomorrow and we will be serving a prime rib roast. My girls both have to work tomorrow so we are timing our meal to get around their schedules so we can all eat together. We have gotten gifts for all the animals and I look forward to giving them to them tomorrow. Of course they have no clue why but they will love it anyway.

Annie,

We have prime rib roast for Christmas also.  I have my desserts completed and need to make a pineapple casserole right before we leave for dinner.

My furbabies love to get gifts also.  They are so very spoiled everyday.  I only have 2 kitties right now, I lost one last Christmas Eve morning, but am thinking I would love to add another rescue kitty to my collection soon.

Hope you have a wonderful celebration with you family.
