Can you Help Me????

 I'm tying to find a hospital that does RNY, The sleeve( or VSG) or mini gastric bypass . That takes Medicaid and DOES NOT have a age limit. My mother would like to have surgery she's 69. We live in NC but would be willing to travel for the surgery even to VA.

Contact Duke, they perform their surgeries through Durham Regional Hospital. Their URL is www.dukewls.org.They take Medicaid, do the RNY and in some cases the VGS. They also take older patients and of course the procedure they might do would be based on their health. If your mom wasn't a candidate for an RNY, I know that they do the Band and Sleeve for patients that they don't think are good candidates for RNY. 

I'd also try the other Medicare/Medicaid COE's in the state of NC. I believe because Medicaid is a state by state administered program, she may be restricted to a NC facility, but you can check with NC Medicaid to get clarification. There are 11 Medicare/Medicaid COEs in the state of NC. Here's the list from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid  Services:

Try ECU, they take Medicaid and I think take older patients, depending on other health issues.
