Good Morning Everyone!  Getting so excited about getting a 4 day weekend after one more day of work today.  My day will fly by today, we have been so busy.  But then everyday lately has been busy and makes for a quick day.  Although we are so busy, it is with our current clients, our producers are just not able to bring in as many new clients as they have in the past.

Yesterday the agency principals let me know they have shelved the possibility of reducing staff for a while, but there will be no pay increases for the next year and the year-end bonus will be greatly decreased.  Yeah! We all still have jobs, pray the economy stabilizes so we do not have to visit the possibility of letting someone go next year.

I am very fortunate indeed!  I have a very rewarding job, have gotten to work for an amazing boss for over 20 years with co-workers that have been like family.

AnnieP, the 32 oz. sippie cup was a success again on day 2.  I filled my cup 3 times and had a 16.9 oz of bottled water too, yesterday.  That is over 100 oz without really trying to fit it all in.  That cup is where every I am.  I realize that when I am drinking the crystal light, I don't have that urgent need for coffee as much through the day.  I have been drinking coffee in the morning and maybe another cup in the afternoon.  Thank you so much for the suggestion.

Today I will make my fluid intake a priority.  I hope to have this a habit by Monday so I can try and make exercise my next focus.

Tell me about your day today!  Please feel free to ramble, I love it.

Please have a FANTASTIC day!

I finally got all of the Christmas Cards out and maybe you'll and the rest of my friends and family will get them by Christmas... Sorry :-/

I got the various cookie doughs made and even got a few baked yesterday. I'm hoping to bake more today and maybe even spend some time with Sarah decorating them. My son called last night to get some cookie baking tips as he prepares to make his own cookie for gifts. It warmed my heart.

Ben, Sarah and I tried to slow things down a bit and watched a couple of Christmas movies last night. It was nice to spend some quiet time with each other and snuggling puppies.

I need to wrap a few gifts, exchange something at the store, go for a Dr's appointment, take some photos of our new puppies, but overall, I'm hoping for a relatively quiet day.

I have to say that I'm spending this holiday season whistling in the dark... Ben has still been looking for a job and of course, this time of year, no one is hiring... He was laid off last January and we've been hanging on, but time is running out... I worry more than I can articulate... I'm also hoping... Ben has had a few recent interviews, but each job he has had the opportunity to interview for has either been closed or been filled with an internal candidate. I hope the new year will be a better one for us and that he will be able to find something that will allow us to stay in our home.

I'm pleased that even with the holiday goodies and stress, I'm maintaining my weight. When I saw Ann at the support group this weekend, I lamented that I was up to the top of my okay weight range (147), but even that has backed down to where I feel a little 'safer' (145). I am probably having more carbs than I should, but I really am also working on trying to lead meals with protein and complex carbs and I think that's what's helping me hold my weight. I think that I need to make a more conscious effort to hydrate and I'll try to do that today.

I hope that you have a great day and thanks again for this thread... Now, if we could just get some more people to participate in it...

Just want to let you know i enjoy reading your morning "ramblings".  I too use a big 32 oz cup and carry it around with me.  I always tell the hubby, "I can't leave without Bubba!!!"

I'm taking today and tomorrow off!!!  I still have one more gift i would like to get for someone.  So i'll go in  search of that, I enjoy malls at this time of year.  I enjoy the colors, the smells and the hustle/bustle.  So i'll shop a bit!  Then for a manicure, then probably home for a little nap!!!  Tomorrow?  probably not much, just delivering a few gifts and taking it easy!

Great to "meet" someone from Fayetteville.  I was there today seeing the new Alvin movie with my son.  Great movie!  Just getting started on WLS so I have a ways to go.  I am searching for as much info as possible.  Looking forward to the person on the outside to look like the person I am on the inside :)

Phyllis,

I love the Chipmunks and have a little friend that I take to movies once in a while.  We went to the last Chipmunk movie together.  I think I will invite her to the new one too.
