Arthur seems to be doing a little better.
He is still showing signs of difficulty with his back leg.
I am hopeful it is just a sprain or pulled muscle.
Bulldogs are know to hardly ever show signs of pain.
I have him on doggy aspirin and am going to give him a warm bath today.

Thank goodness Lee is here to help pick up Arthur I would imagine Arthur weighs about 80lbs.
For now he is resting under my computer desk beside a small heater.

No walks for Arthur for the next week.
I know Guien will miss him on our walks.

I'll bet the warmth of the heater and being close to you are both things that help him feel better.

Wishing him a quick and complete recovery.

Hi Annie,
I'm really sorry to hear about Arthur.  You know it could be something as simple as the cold weather and maybe a touch of arthritis.  I don't know how old Arthur is and arthritis happens to our furbabies, as it does to us.  You're doing all the right things  for him by giving him asprin and keeping him warm.

We went thru this with Skooter (he's 15) just a few weeks ago when he lost control of his back end and couldn't walk, but it seems to be mostly resolving itself after putting him on anti inflamatories.  Our babies are our children, as are yours.  Skooter, Kassie, Ben, Stan & I will all keep Arthur in our thoughts & doggie prayers.

Thxs Judy,
Arthur is 6 as of this past October.
Many English bulldogs dont live much past 10.
Arthur is a tough boy and the more I watch him the more I feel it is a sprain or pulled muscle.
Lee was able to take him out while I was working out and Arthur did what he needed to do which I feel is always a good sign.

Annie,  I sure hope Arthur gets better.  You know how much I love animals.  Hate I missed the Meetup yesterday, but my next kidney stone surgery is Monday and I have been in a state of panic and dread.  I am so worried that the sepsis will come back and I really don't think I can take that again.  So, keep me in your prayers.  Hope you are doing well and that you are all ready for Christmas.  We are really not making a big deal out of  Christmas this year; it will be my first without Daddy and I am not in much of a celebratory mood.  Just want to snuggle up with my hubby and my two puppies!  I'm still unsure about my eating, but no major problems.  I just can't get all the protein in--but the weight is coming off.  Stay in touch.  T.

I wondered where you were yesterday.
Have faith all will work out well as far as the kidney stone surgery I will keep you in my thoughts.
You missed a nice party that UNC had last week the food was totally pouch friendly.
I am happy to read the weight is coming off that is great.
With Lee being on sick leave we are not doing Christmas for each other just grateful to have each other and our animals that is a good gift in itself. Of course we will be doing the family gathering at mothers and on Christmas day we are having lunch with her at The Carolina Inn.
After that we go to my nieghbors for dinner OMG so much food.
I will just have to have a little of this and that and not expect to eat everything.

hi
i saw a couple of posts where you mentioned arthur and thought he was a husband or something!  lol!  our pets are our children. i have many and have had many. in the lst 10 years we have lost 4 very special ones, 3 in the last 5 yreas. 2 of those were because they lost all control and function of their back halves and the doctors tried everything. one was a greyhound - maggie and one my beloved pit - zoey (with pits it is all in how you love them). when someone mentioned theirs was improving - i was so happy for you. new at the posts, i am still getting names and who is who all comfused. forgive. currently we have 2 dogs, well one is strictly my husbands, but i have grown to love and respect him, and 3 cats inside and then my husband brought home 3 dogs from his fathers when he died which are skittish of people and never been indoors which he keeps  outside in a large fenced area connected to our large screened porch. they are not suffering but i just dont believe in outside dogs. mine are my children. he says these live in heaven compared to their past. oh well.
smiles
