Saturday Check-in
Good Morning Everyone!
Up early this morning already have laundry going and getting ready to run to Walmart and Sam's so I can get in and out before the big crowds! We only have rain here in Fayetteville but it is rather cold. I see that the weather in Raleigh is wet also, but the Greensboro, Roxboro and areas west are getting a lot of the white stuff. Hope everyone is able to go to the meet up that planned on going. I will be there in spirit giving out holiday hugs.
We have a full day planned with shopping and errands. Then the festivities will start later this afternoon with friends. I hate to admit that I am about partied out! I love seeing everyone, especially people I only get to see this time of year, but it seems that it is non-stop and this is our busy time at work. I am exhausted! But I have been having so much fun this year.
I am grateful to be able to keep going, two years ago I was declining invitations because I could not go, this year I had to send regrets because of conflicts with invitations I had already accepted. What a difference a couple of years make and my WLS made it all possible. I love my RNY.
I did get a little break last night around the fireplace. I love the cozy feeling around the fire, even if it is a gas fire. I grew up with a wood stove in our main den area and the fire makes me feel like "home". Growing up in the Poconos winter was cold and white, so a fire brought a lot of warmth. I do not miss the snow or the cold, although sometimes I feel like it is colder here because the cold is so damp here, it just goes right through you. Like Sandy said in an earlier post I should probably move "souther"!
For today, I will concentrate on making the wiser choices with my food and making sure I continue to increase my water, since I can't seem to decrease my coffee intake!
Hope everyone has a wonderful Saturday! Please keep safe and warm.

Hi Carrie,
You were missed, but so were most of the others who had planned to come. I think we only had about 1 in 3 actually make it today.
I seem to be spinning my wheels and haven't gotten nearly as much done as I'd like, but tomrorrow is another day.
Hope all went well for you.
Hugs,
Barbara
