Greek Yogurt

Annie introduced me to Greek yogurt about a year and a half ago... or at least she tried to introduce me!  I've been trying it off and on ever since.  I've tried mixing it with lemon curd, jelly, various fruits, honey, savory stuff.... no matter what i've never like it.  I just can't seem to get past that sour cream  flavor!!!

Last week at a holiday gathering a friend told me to try it again by adding sugar free vanilla pudding... not mixed or anything.... just some of the powder straight out of the box!!!!  I tried it and I love it!!!! Finally I can eat greek yogurt!!!  I have visions of trying many other varieties.... chocolate, cheesecake, butterscotch, tapioca... OMG, the possibilities are endless.

Just wanted to let you know if there is anyone else out there that keeps trying greek yogurt.... And Thank you Friend!!!   I appreciate the new "recipe"!!

I used the s/f cheesecake pudding powder and then added some no sugar added canned cherries to the top.  It was like a cheese cake.  yum,  enjoy

Hmmm..... I've found it works for me in savory dishes sometimes and as you know I use it as part of dip base, but I haven't tried the pudding thing... Wonder how it would work if you added some canned pumpkin and pumpkin pie spice to that pudding and greek yogurt mix... mmmmmm. I might have to give it a try.

I love to add a little splenda brown sugar and a fairly big dash of cinnamon. Sometimes I'll add a handful of granola for texture. I love this stuff. One of the girls at work (a non-WLSer) has started eating it and she adds some of the SF davinici syrups that we keep on hand - raspberry and caramel have been the favorites so for.

Glad to know that you kept trying it until you found a winning combination. I was like that over cottage cheese. I finally buy it because I like it. Who knew all I needed to do was add a packet or two of splenda - period.

That pumkin idea sounds really good.  I will have to try it.  I have not seen brown sugar splenda.  They make that?  Must keep looking....

yep, they make it... I think it's called "brown sugar blend"  and it's over where the regular splenda is.  I used it for my candied yams at Thanksgiving too.
