Raleigh Area Support Group Meeting Saturday Morning 12/19
Happy Holidays to one and all!
It looks like the weather may be most 'dicey' in the Greensboro area, but it looks like it should spare Wake county and may be hit and miss in the Durham and Orange county areas. While it looks like we might have a dusting of snow, the weather reports look like Raleigh will miss the majority of the wintry weather, so I'm planning to go ahead with the monthly support group meeting.
We have about 18 who are planning to make the trip. If you'd like to join us, please RSVP at www.meetup.com/nc-wls. To help those less fortunate, we are having a coat drive for this month's meeting. It's certainly not mandatory by any means, but if you have a coat that you can no longer wear because it's too big and it's still in decent, serviceable condition, please consider bringing it. We'll take the collected coats over to Burlington Coats and they will distribute them to local charities that GIVE them to those in need. Considering the cold weather, it's a timely gift and we don't ever want to need those coats again... do we?!
I hope to see you tomorrow.
Happy Holidays!

It's snowing pretty hard here right now.... I live between Hillsborough & Roxboro. If this continues thru the night, i don't think i'll make it tomorrow... they always take their time clearing these secondary (and third-dary) roads and I don't like driving on slippery roads. I'll just have to wait and make a decision in the morning.
I really want to come and give all my Loser Bench friends a holiday hug... but it may have to be a virtual {{{hug}}}
Hi Judy,
As you know, where we live is both 'in the city' and 'in the country' and since we aren't part of the city, we have to wait for the state DOT to clear ours too, so it depends on how the roads are... I'll wait and decide in the morning. While I plan to go and want to, I hope that everyone will evaluate and make the 'safest' decision. We'll be able to see each other soon anyway.
I'm bundling up and heading out to Trader Joe's. I ran home to pick up Sarah from school because they let the kids out early, so I'm getting on my horse and heading out again before I settle in, in front of the fire to finish my Christmas cards.
Hugs,

Well, i must say it's an absolutely beautiful sight outside!!! Everything is a white, sparkly and very peaceful looking. It would be a perfect Christmas morning.... except that i know all the sparkle is because of the ice. The trees are covered in ice, my driveway is icy, even the beautiful snow is deceiving. As my dogs were walking they were sliding and crunching thru the ice.... Ben, (my 6 lb maltese) wanted nothing to do with any of it and i had to force him off the porch to do his business... he did it, but wasn't happy about it and i really can't blame him!!!
Needless to say i woun't be joining you for breakfast this morning! So i send my best wishes to all of you... Wishing you a Christmas filled with love and a New Year filled with treasured moments, WOW moments, special friends and an abundance of good health and happiness. I also want to thank you all... i could not have gone as far on this journey as i have without your love and support. {{{{hugs}}}} to you all!
Judy
Hi Judy,
It sounds beautiful, but treacherous where you are and I think it sounds like a good day for a cup of coffee by the fireplace and a pot of soup on the stove. It looks like we missed the worst of it, but I think tomorrow we may have some residual ice that may be worse. We'll be able to make it today, but you and Stan will be missed.
I hope to see you later this year or early next.
Hugs,
Barbara
