Congratulations on your big day!   My only advice is walk, walk, walk as soon as you feel like it after surgery. I was allowed ice chips the night of my surgery and they have never tasted so good! LOL.

I hope you have a smooth surgery and an easy recovery!

Hi Renee,

Congratulations on embarking on the journey of a lifetime. My biggest suggestions will be to sip, sip, sip and walk, walk, walk after surgery. It will really help keep you well after surgery. Your Dr and nutritionist should provide you  with a detailed meal plan that will likely change over the next few weeks and months. Please know that the dietary component of this journey varies a great deal from one program to another. It doesn't mean that one is right and another wrong, but it is important that you follow the guidelines provided by your program, so while we will all do our best to answer your questions and offer suggestions on what to try when you are trying to figure out what to eat, remember that you'll need to follow your provider's guidelines and just use our suggestions as support information.

Wishing you all the best,

Barbara

Hears wishing you a speedy recovery.  Merry Christmas too!
My body does not define who I am but I am trying to define my body.  It  gets easier with every pound I drop.
