Dalton Update

I spoke with Rose a little bit ago. I apologize for not posting sooner (she called me around 3:30) but I'm at work and well...   my lead standing over talking about work kept me from posting.

Dalton got out of surgery between 2:30 and 3pm.  The surgery went well, though they did not do the chest reconstruction that was originally planned along with the abdominal skin removal and muscle tightening.

The surgery started a little late, as Rose posted and with him being on the table for 6.5 hours just on the abdominal procedure, Dr. S didn't want to take the risks of him being on the table under the anestesia longer.

Rose said that Dr. S told her that they tightened up the skin a lot - to suit his frame much better and felt that Dalton would be very pleased.

Dalton's been taken to a recovery room.  Rose is still up there and waiting to be able to see him.

I'm sure one of us will provide further updates.

Hi Jenn,

Thanks so much for the update. While I'm sure that Dalton will be bit disappointed that the chest work wasn't done, I know that Dr. Schwarz is great about being conservative to ensure the best and safest outcome.

I sent Rose a message, but if you talk to her, please send her our best and let her know that she can call if she needs ANYTHING.

Thanks again,

Barbara

I agree with you Barb, Dr S would not have done anything he didn't think was safe.
