Good Morning Everyone!

Yesterday was very productive for me.  I started at 6:30 am and never finished until 10:pm when I fell into bed.  I am a little sore this morning, so I think my goal of keeping active was a hit!  I was also very successful with my fluid intake.  I did not make coffee my only drink of choice!

I wrapped ALL my gifts, delivered some of my baked goods, picked up some more wrapping paper and managed to bake some more.

Today I will finish up with the baking.  Both the DH and myself have office parties that we committed to bringing baked goods.  Mine is Monday and his is Friday.  I will just wrap and freeze his until Thursday.

I will use today to clean up from yesterday's messes in the kitchen and the dining room table.  I will change my bed linens and clean both bathrooms.  And I have promised to have lunch with my DH in his break room at work.

This doesn't sound like the schedule of someone on vacation to me with all the cooking and cleaning. But I'm a little on the jealous side anyway - I'd love to come home to a spotless house (Kitchen and bathrooms especially). I didn't make the bed this morning so I'd remember to change them this evening cause I thought it would be nice to sleep in tomorrow morning on some nice clean sheets. As cold as it was I might need to dig out the snuggly flannel set.

I only drank a 1/2 of my morning commute coffee this morning so I feel like I've gotten off to a good start on that today. My plan is to continue enjoying the caffeine through Christmas and then take a week to slowly decaf myself and be caffeine free again by January 1. I went almost a year with out the stuff and I have to say that I felt better without it.

I've told both my sons and David that the only thing I want for Christmas is for all 3 of them to quit smoking. I got word this morning on my ride to work that a very dear friend was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer yesterday. I'm still trying to make sense of that. It seems like almost every week I hear of someone else being diagnosed with the "C" word. It's really ut a damper on my Christmas cheer.

Hope lunch with the hubby was a good one.
