Hi everyone.... Long time no post.
Hello to all my old friends here on the NC Board and to all the newbies who have found this wonderful community. I have been around a bit, but spending most of my online time on the plastic surgery board.
I'm 16 days post-op from a lower body lift. It's been quite an experience to say the least. I'm still very sore but now have all the drains out which is pure HEAVEN! I think the hardest part of the whole thing is trying to find a comfortable position to sleep. I'm very pleased with the results. Of course I still have a lot of swelling and scarring but that will subside with time. She took of 6 pounds of skin, tightened the muscles in my abdomen, lifted my butt and thighs, and did some lipo on the outer thighs. It is amazing to see my new body without all the hanging skin. I had been obese for so long, it's hard to believe that that is MY BODY in the mirror.
I feel like this is the final chapter in this amazing journey that I've been on since Oct. 2007, Well, there may be one sequel if I decide to get the "girls" fixed. I'll decide that later, once I get this one paid for.
Just thought I'd stop in for a minute and give you an update on what's been going on with me. Oh, one more bit of EXCITING NEWS.... I am going to be a Grandmother!!!! My son and his wife are expecting in early June. Ronnie and I are so happy about this, our first grandchild.
Take care and have a wonderful Christmas!

Hi Alice,
Thanks so much for the update. I'm really glad to hear that you are doing so well and if things ever upright themselves for us, maybe I'll think about doing it. I'm glad to hear that you are seeing such progress and that you are glad to have had it done.
We miss you and your are often in my thoughts.
Wishing you well as you continue to recover from this closing chapter in your surgical journey.
All the best my friend ... and congratulations on the blessing of new baby in your family.
Hugs,
Barbara
