Thursday morning check-in
I decided to take vacation time today and tomorrow. I found myself stressing out to the point I was afraid that my depression would rear its ugly head if I did not nip this in the butt. Mentally I was so exhausted that I fell asleep last evening before 6:30 and slept until this morning.
I will take my furbaby to the vet this morning to have her thyroid check and then to the post office to get stamps for my Christmas cards.
I have decided to spend the rest of the day going through my gift collection wrapping and organizing them. I will use tomorrow to complete any purchases I need to make.
I have several Christmas parties this weekend that require wrapped gifts and I have not even started. Monday morning I need to arrive at work with a covered dish and several wrapped gifts.
I have another party on Monday night and so on and so on each day until Christmas Eve.
I found myself stressing out with trying to get "work-outs" during this time, but have decided I would just try and be as active as possible.
Well I'm off to start my "vacation", hope Everyone has a WONDERFUL day.
Hi Carrie,
I can't tell you how much I can relate to your post. I too feel overwhelmed and with that and the stress that comes with it, the dangers of my depression rearing it's ugly head. Day before yesterday, I had 5, count them 5 'meltdowns.' Some is because of life stressors, such as unemployment and my mother's health issues, but some is because I have more to do in the next few days than is humanly possible. Some are things I want to do, some are things I need to do and some are things I should do. I don't want to pass up the things I want to do, so....
I hope that you have a lovely little vacation and that it helps to get everything in perspective and allows you to do those things you want to do and need to do without overwhelming you.
Hugs,
Barbara
