I once was lost but now am found
I forget, btw, which saturday it is that we meet in Raleigh. Someone please re-remind me. I seem to be out of town most of the time when we meet but I cannot tell you how much I miss your support.
I've been feeling somewhat sick lately after I eat. I'm 14 months out from surgery, have lost 95-98 pounds (depending on fluctuations) and have found that I can eat MOST anything in small doses. I'm eating more than I should, I think... but not always. I am getting into dangerous waters with the late night snacking however.
Back to the sick thing - - remember immediately post surgery how you could get dizzy and nauseous (a la dumping) after eating? This is happening to me again after many months of not happening. I get incredibly lethargic, a drugged feeling, and HAVE to go lie down. I think I have a bug on top of it because yesterday morning after falling into bed the night before like I described, I woke up incredibly dizzy and nauseous and couldn't move for two hours without getting the heaves. Has anyone else experienced this?
I'd appreciate some input. Thanks!

Hi Cindy,
You've been missed too and I really look forward to seeing less of you again soon ;-)
We meet on the 3rd Saturday each month at 10am. We are still meeting at the Golden Corral as I have yet to find another venue that can accommodate the 'size' of our group without a charge. I really hope that you'll be in town for some of our Saturday meetings, but I also host a couple during the month on weeknights and hope you can make one of those. They are always at one of the restaurants at Brier Creek and since you have now joined my meetup group, you'll get emails notifying you of all of the upcoming meetings and you can just rsvp for whatever works for you.
Re: feeling queasy, please give Duke a call. It may well be a touch of the flu, but if it were me, I'd talk to Hilary or one of the other RNs and get their take on it and see if they wanted to see me or had some advice.
Re: questionable choices. It's pretty normal for us to be making a few when we are where you are in this journey. The important thing is to recognize the behaviors and find some ways to manage them before you get into deep trouble... That's the reason I started the Grads Group and the Beck Group... You might want to give one or both of them a try.
I hope to see you soon.
