Good Morning Everyone!

I know I have been away for a while and even then had not been very consistent in my contributions.  I have been in an uphill battle with my emotions due to hormones imbalances since January.  Hopefully with my very wonderful Doctors, I now have this under control and will be able to contribute in a very positive way.

Yesterday was day 1 of my re-commitment to "me".  Even with a very busy work day, I was able to go to my water aerobics class and scheduled my meals/snacks along with my vitamins.  I decided that I needed to schedule my time just like I would schedule an appointment throughout the day.  If I don't "my time" either comes last or not at all.

I have also marked my calendar for the 3rd Saturday of each month for the Raleigh meetup.  I need the support I receive by attending each month and I miss seeing all of you.

I hope everyone had a enjoyable Thanksgiving.  I am just rambling now, so I will close.

Have a GREAT day...............Carrie

(((((Carrie))))),

We've missed you too and I'm so glad to see you back and taking care of you. I was just talking to another friend yesterday and while her struggles are different than yours, like many of us, she is struggling and one of the things that we talked about is the fact that we need to put ourselves first. We can't take care of ourselves or anyone else without taking care of ourselves. We also talked about the fact that it's important to have the support of others that are walking the road we are walking. Others can sympathize, but you have to have walked the road to empathize.

We are here for you and look forward to seeing you.

Warmly,

Barbara

Thanks so very much for all your kind and caring emails, Barbara.  It has meant so very much at a time when I felt so bad for so long.

Hopefully that time is over and I am back to my usual self.  I know I feel like a new person these last few days.  I seem to have a renewed energy and I am determined to take full advantage of this feeling now.

My time is limited so I will try to stop by at the start of each day and then again before I turn in for the night.

Thanks again Barbara for being such a good friend................Carrie

Hi Carrie,
Thanks for your inspiration... you are sooooo right!  I need to schedule time for ME!!  If i don't, I find that it's so easy to say I'm too busy to excercise!!   I just set up a time each day in my outlook calendar to, at the very least, work on my treadmill!!!   I have definitely been shirking my excercise.

Looking forward to meeting you at the Raleigh meetup

Judy, I find if I don't write it down and commit myself to my schedule, I will put myself last and never get to what I need to do for me.  Yesterday was a very hectic day at work and I had a lot of personal commitments to attend to also.  It would have been very easy to put off my water aerobic for another day, but another day just keeps getting further and further out until it never gets here.

I also find if I don't schedule my food, I wait until I feel ill from missing my food for too long and then I eat too fast and too much.  Then the rest of my day is off.

I discussed this with my team partner at work and she agreed that she could see a difference in me when this happened and thought I needed to make time.  So Yesterday morning when we were discussing our clients and our schedules, I told her how I was going to schedule my smaller more frequent mini meals.  I stuck with that schedule and did fine yesterday, so today when she did not see me eat at 10:30 when I  had it scheduled , she asked when I was eating.  But for once I was on top of it and had already squeezed it in between clients.

Its only been two days, but I have to start somewhere.

I look forward to meeting you in January also.
