Thanksgiving

I made a 20 lb bird for seven people.  One of those people being me and I don't eat much.  So, you think I would have leftovers.  I made a big turkey so I could.  Well hubby sent most of it home to other people and what we had left my 18 yr old who was home from college ate it.  He had a friend over later that night and they ate all the stuffing and all but 2 pieces of turkey.  I was so sad.  I really wanted the left overs.  Oh well.  I can always make another one.  They are cheap now at the stores.
We had a wonderful time.  I brined the turkey this yr and it was the best I ever had.  So moist and juicy.  I followed good old Martha Stewart's recipe and it was delicious.  Good fun and good company.  I was and am, thankful.  Btw...my mother who always was telling me that I eat too much is now worried that I am anorexic or something.  She is now telling me to eat.  I do, but I think she is just not used to how little in comparison.  heh heh  funny how things flip.
My body does not define who I am but I am trying to define my body.  It  gets easier with every pound I drop.
