Thanksgiving

We had a great time with my family yesterday at my brother's condo clubhouse.
Lots of food OMG and I had to keep in check by not eatting to much pre dinner snacks.
I did really well and even used a salad plate for dinner.
At home I always use a salad plate.
As for the desserts oh yes they were there and cakes 4 layers high with carmel brown sugar frosting.
It did not bother me like it would have in the past.
I did have a very small slice of pumkin pie and then I was done.
We got home around 6pm and and I thought I would have a turduken 1/2 sandwich but instead had my 4 celery sticks and cheese dip and was a happy girl.

Hi Judy,
I love your new avatar
Ever since my surgery Dr. F always told me stop when you feel full I have always listen to that and happy to say my pouch is still working because I feel full after 4 bites.
I eneded up and made a casserole out of my leftover Turducken I had some for lunch and I thought I was going to pop.
Like we talked about in Atlanta yes I do drink liquids but I still feel full fast.

Update on the Greys they are doing great still chattering away when we are not in the same room.
Lee still at times is putting them in Time Out and it seems to help.

Yes we are using blankets to cover the cages.
Personally I love and totally enjoy the talking between them.
It is so cute to hear them make up their own little tunes.

Currently my house is smelling real good from the leftover turkey being cooked into a healthy 15 bean soup with turkey. I am hoping there will be enough after everyone has eaten to take some to work tomorrow for lunch LOL!

What a great idea for 15 bean soup using turkey sound great to me.
As for my Turducken leftovers I added it to some soup and had some get stuck havent had that happen in many months.
Thank goodness for hot Earl Grey tea and splenda.
My compression stocking will be here this week I am so excited about getting out of my bandages.
Lee learned how to wrap my legs and he does a great job of it.

You did great.  I tried to stick with the protein mostly.  And I did have one spoon of the carby stuff.  Over all it was a great 1st Thanksgiving after surgery.

I hope you are feeling well.  I must have missed something with your leg?

Annie,
I am glad you can get back to normal and it can be managed.  Sorry you are going through all this.  Can't wait to see you at the next meet up.  And yes I will be careful with the wine.  I know it's empty calories but sometimes I need a glass. =)

Thanks,
Kelly
