need family doc in Asheville

My family doctor just notified me that she will no longer be in private practice.  Does anyone have a good family doc who is knowledgeable about the needs of bypass patients in or near the Asheville area?  I have a good surgeon, but need a family doc.  Is there such a thing as a general practitioner who specializes in bypass patients????????????

I don't think there is such a thing as  a general practitioner that specializes in bypass patients. When Do you go see Dr. Edwards again?? Why not ask him. I work in Asheville. There are not a lot of doctors taking new patients right now. I would call the Buncombe County Medical Society and they have a list of docs that are taking new patients i think.
