A great place to stay for Duke patients

I had my DS at Duke (Durham Regional) last week and had to travel a little over 3 hours each way.  We stayed at Duke Tower the night before and reserved it again for immediately after surgery (but didn't end up needing to stay).  It was really great.  It works like a hotel, but it's really a bunch of small apartments/condos.  You have a separate bedroom, a small kitchen, a bathroom and a living room with a small dining area.  You have free wifi in all the rooms.  The linens and things are all provided (just like in a hotel).  The medical rate is only $69 a night (which is cheaper than a lot of hotels where you're stuck in one room) and they are flexible about your reservation.  You can move the dates around as needed due to your hospital stay and they won't penalize you like some hotels will.  You can even have pets in some rooms.  It's less than 3 miles from the hospital and they have a 24 hour shuttle, if needed.  Anyhow, I just thought I'd share.
