looking for support group

I'm lokking for a support group around the raleigh area,or somewhere close if any one can help me with this,thanks. I'm 11 months post op ryn

Hey girl! I'm sure Barb will be on soon to tell you about the group she heads up, and we meet this Saturday. I'll be off to work so I'm a little early but I look forward to meeting you.  I am also 11 months post, and had my surgery at Duke December 10th, 2008. Find me at the meet up-(I'm hard to miss with the spikey hair coming back in)

As Debbi said we have a super group every third Saturday in Raleigh.
I am over two years out and I make a point of going to every meetup.

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your success. I too, had Dr. DeMaria for my surgeon. I had my surgery almost 2.5 years ago and it was the best thing I've ever done for myself. My husband must be a surgery buddy of yours, because he'll be celebrating his 1 year 'surgiversary' December 11th. He had Dr. Dana Portenier perform his surgery.

As Deb said, I have a large support group that meets several times a month in Raleigh. We have a standing General meeting that meets on the 3rd Saturday of each month and as Deb mentioned, the next meeting is this coming Saturday at 10 am, so your timing is perfect.  I also hold special interest groups several times during the month and have one coming up this Thursday.
