my recent wow moment

I would have never thought it!  Ever!  The other day I bought my first pair of size 6 pants. I have one other size 6 jacket.  It is funny how I can wear 6's, 8's and 10's depending on the maker.  I thought it would be easier when I got to normal sizes to know what to buy.  But, it doesn't appear that it is.  I have to say that I am wearing the pants now and they feel like magic!  lol
My body does not define who I am but I am trying to define my body.  It  gets easier with every pound I drop.

Hi Sandy,

Like you, I am still surprised at how much variation there is in the sizing of clothes in smaller sizes. But as you said, you'll find that certain makers run small, big or 'true'. I also wear predominantly size 6's and some 8's with an occasional size 10 or 4 depending on the manufacturer.

Enjoy!

Now you really have to allow time to try on clothes. You can't assume. Congrats on the WOW

Sandy I think that's wonderful! I am still very new to the post op weight loss and can not imagine even wearing a size 16 yet! much less a six!
Enjoy your new pants!

It is not the magnitude of our actions but the amount of love that is put into them that matters.

Oh that size will happen before you know it.  You have so many changes  coming your way.  This is like having Christmas all yr long.  You will feel better and better.  I have so much more energy.  I wear heels now.  That has to be one of the best things.  I can shoe shop.  My feet were too fat for most shoes.  I was buying shoes online.  Now I can go in to any store and find something that fits.  I love heels.  I feel like a lady again.  I bought a pair of shoes yesterday and another 2 prs today.  2 weeks ago I bought 2 pairs.  I do need to stop now though lol.  I started out with small little 1.5 inch heels.  The ones I bought yesterday and today are 3 inch heels.  I have not yet worked up to 3.5 or 4 inch ones yet.  Have fun and take your measurements.  There are times when you are not losing weight but the inches will fall off.  If you don't measure, you wont know this.  The only measurement I took before surgery was my waist.  I have lost 20 inches off of my waist alone!

Sandy, that is great I'm so excited for you. I too can't wait to see those sizes. I'm finally getting into 14's a size I haven't been since Who knows? LOL I remember wearing a size 16 when I was 16yrs old and I don't remember any sizes smaller than that, BUT I'm gonna see sizes smaller!!! Again Way ta go!!

I was so excited when I could wear a 14.  That to me was the magical number when you are in normal sizes.  A 16 was good but still felt like a fat girl size.  It isn't but it was higher up the size scale.  A 14 was a solid normal size.  Keep up the good work and have fun.

Sandy you look wonderful and congrats on the smaller sizes.  I know what you mean when you go shopping.  I'm at that point, somewhere in the 16/18 to XL.
