Sharing Gratitude

I'm grateful for...

My health... 3 years ago I was sick and scared. Now, I'm healthier than I've been in decades. My obesity related health issues have resolved and my Hemochromatosis is managed and no longer threatens my health and well-being.

My family... I am blessed to have a wonderful, loving husband and children. They make my heart sing and bring joy to my life each day.

My friends... One of the best things about this journey has been the friendships I've developed during this journey. It's been a truly unexpected benefit, but I must say that support that I receive through these friendships has been invaluable to my success in losing and maintaining my weight, as well as enhancing the quality of my life.

My home... As many of you know, my dear husband lost his job last January and has been unable to secure another position and I worry, with reason that we will lose our home. Right now, today, I am grateful that we have a home. I pray that we will continue to have a home.

My quality of life... I knew that my weight interfered with and compromised my life, but I didn't truly understand the level it was compromised until I was released from the 'shackles' of my obesity. 

I'm grateful for improved health also!   I am now under 200 lbs!!!  198!!    I am so awed. My feet, ankles, knees and back feel so much better after losing 79 lbs. My body just doesn't HURT  like it used to.  I am on my way.  :)

Ben works in computers right?  I could be wrong.  If he has a masters in a computer related field, the community college I work for, Central Carolina Community College, is hiring a Computer Instructor.  I do not know if that would work, but I thought I would mention it.
