I am new to OH and new to the Gastric Bypass process.  I'm currently trying to get funding from Vocational Rehabilitation for surgery.  I am so anxious and excited at the same time.  I would love to talk to new people who are also going through the weight loss journey.

Welcome to the NC forum. I think you will find that it's a very warm and friendly group. You'll also find that there is a new crop of folks just starting out and that will be a good thing. You all will bond and learn a lot from one another. Be sure to ask plenty of questions, but also be sure to run things by your Dr so that you doing things the way they want you to.

Wishing you all the best and I look forward to getting to know you.

Although I am new to the site, I have gotten so much helpful advice and information.  Everyone has been so friendly and welcoming.

Hi there! I hope everything goes well for you and you get the funding. The process is exciting to say the least!

Best wishes,

Hi Mary Ann!  Yes, the process is very exciting, but at the same time it's very "draining".  I'm just ready to get it going.  But, I guess that's what everyone here wants.  I am so impressed with this website.  I wouldn't have guessed that there was this many ppl in the world dealing with the same issues.  And, the before/after pics are inspiring.

Your blog said you are starting your Pre-Op diet.  You are almost there!  Good luck and I can't wait to hear how things go for you!

Hi,
Welcome to OH! Dr. Sudan is my doctor; he's in the same practice as your doctor. My revision surgery is next Friday. I'm going from a proximal RNY to a distal RNY. My advice to you is do your research to determine what type of surgery is best for you and good luck on your journey.
